At my company, Aesthetic Accelerator, we borrow a page from the hospitality industry’s playbook by teaching aesthetic business owners how to apply relentless focus to the client experience. With my extensive experience managing 5-star hotel spas in New York City, including the iconic Plaza spa, I formulated a program called “Engaged Experiences” where I teach my clients how to up-level their service practices and install methods such as “service rituals”, “signature methods,” and client “engagement experiences.” In an industry where competition is fierce, I find focusing on client experience is a game-changer for our aesthetic business owners. They learn how to stand out from the crowd by providing unforgettable client experiences that translate into creating a loyal following.

My client’s meticulously planned open house was challenged by pouring rain. However, our team’s preparation and dedication prevailed. Clients experienced our full range of services thoroughly enjoying themselves. Unfortunately, as one client left, her designer umbrella had vanished. We apologized profusely, but we had no spare umbrellas to offer her. Instead of letting this unfortunate occurrence rest, we decided to take action. We ordered her a new umbrella, accompanied by a handwritten note of apology and included a gift certificate for one of our services. Surprisingly, this “oops” moment turned into a remarkable gesture that impressed the client and she took to Instagram, sharing with thousands of followers how our office not only provided amazing service but also cared enough to go the extra mile to meet her needs.
This incident taught us the power of the relationship economy. Consistent and relentless dedication to the client experience is the key to building a successful and thriving aesthetic business.

Sure! Many busy aesthetic business owners such as Dermatologists & Plastic Surgeons struggle to grow and scale their practice, feeling overwhelmed by the day-to-day operations. This allows for greater autonomy from the day-to-day and more time to enjoy the rewards of a successful practice.
I am sometimes described as possessing boundless energy and usually described as extremely passionate! Founding Aesthetics Accelerator is more than a passion project for me though- it represents the ideal culmination of my professional experience and enthusiasm for the aesthetics industry.
You see, I have over 15 years of experience in operations & business consulting in the area for healthcare, spa, medical spa, dermatology, and plastic surgery industries. After graduating from Vanderbilt University, I worked to improve large-scale hospital systems and then launched some of the most successful, five-star spas in NYC!
After returning to educational pursuits and obtaining an MBA from the University of Michigan, I started my own aesthetic consulting firm in 2014. I spent the next nine years expertly guiding physicians and consulting medical spa owners to grow their profit margins, typically between 10%- 20%, train their teams to deliver world-class client experiences, understand the metrics indicative of success, and implement a marketing and conversion plan that grows revenue year after year.
Perhaps most importantly, I help my clients take back their personal time. As a busy mom and entrepreneur, I understand the importance of finding daily balance.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
My strong reputation within the aesthetics industry has been forged through a journey of diverse experiences across multiple sectors. I take pride in my ability to be there for my clients, drawing on my background in healthcare consulting, hospitality, real estate development, and dermatology to provide comprehensive and exceptional experiences.
Through my work in healthcare consulting, I gained valuable insights into the intricate dynamics of the industry. My experience in hospitality taught me the importance of creating a truly luxurious experience for every client. In the realm of real estate development, I developed a keen eye for aesthetic architectural design and meticulous space planning.
What truly excites me is the tangible impact I have been able to make in the field. I have had the pleasure of both leading the remarkable growth of my first medspa by over 400%, and also serving as the Director of Aesthetics to the largest private-equity backed dermatology practice in the United States. These accomplishments highlight my dedication to executing effective operational strategies on both small and large scales.
Furthermore, I am excited to embark on a new venture called Aesthetic Exit, which aims to support and guide aesthetic business owners looking to sell their practices. This endeavor showcases my deep understanding of the industry and my commitment to identifying and fulfilling the unique needs of my clients.

Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?
Maintaining high team morale is a crucial factor for organizational success. Here are some valuable insights that I often preach to my own clients:
To begin, having a clear sense of your organization’s Mission, Vision, and Values is paramount. When everyone in the office embraces these guiding principles, it fosters a shared purpose and a sense of unity.
Equally important is the process of hiring team members who genuinely understand and align with your mission and vision. Look for individuals who naturally connect with your company’s culture and values, as they will contribute positively to the team dynamic.
Creating a strong team culture shouldn’t be left to chance. Instead, design it intentionally, actively shaping the desired environment through effective communication, collaboration, and recognition of contributions.
Accountability plays a significant role in maintaining team morale. Encourage self-accountability and hold team members responsible for achieving organizational goals while cultivating a positive and supportive work culture.
Regular team events provide opportunities for communication, celebration, and team-building. Consider organizing team meetings, engaging in team-building exercises, planning outings, and celebrating achievements together.
Additionally, implementing morning huddles with the entire team can set a positive tone for the day. Use this time to share uplifting moments such as positive client reviews, progress towards goals, specific employee praise, or inspiring quotes.
