Gemali, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Looking back, do you think you started your business at the right time? Do you wish you had started sooner or later?
Looking back, I wish I had started my business sooner. Initially, I was hesitant due to fear of the unknown and financial responsibilities. But taking the leap has been incredibly rewarding. Being able to focus entirely on my business has fueled its growth significantly. It’s not only given me more time with my family and flexibility but also allowed me to better serve my clients. While I was scared at first, starting earlier would have meant even more opportunities for success. But I’m grateful for the journey and excited for what’s to come

I’m a photographer based in Tampa, Florida, specializing in weddings and family moments. My passion lies in capturing those candid, heartfelt moments that make life beautiful. As a parent myself, I understand the importance of cherishing every moment, big or small. That’s why I love freezing those precious memories in photographs. From engagements to weddings to family gatherings, I’m here to capture the genuine emotions and connections that make each moment special. My style is all about authenticity and storytelling—I want your photos to reflect the true essence of your love and life. I’m proud to have been part of so many love stories and family milestones, and I’d be honored to be a part of yours too.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
The most effective way I’ve grown my clientele is through word of mouth. By consistently delivering top-notch service and quality, my clients become my biggest advocates, referring me to their friends and family. Social media, particularly platforms like Instagram and Facebook, has also been instrumental. Being active and consistent on these platforms helps me showcase my work and connect with potential clients. Starting out, offering free sessions to friends and family helped me build my portfolio and gain experience, laying the groundwork for future growth. Combining word of mouth, social media presence, and strategic portfolio building has been key to expanding my client base.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect of being an artist or creative for me is the privilege of creating and documenting beautiful moments for my clients. Knowing that I have the opportunity to capture moments that they’ll cherish and relive through my photographs is truly an honor. It’s not just about the act of documenting; it’s about infusing creativity into each shot, finding unique angles, lighting, and perspectives that bring out the essence of those moments. The satisfaction I feel when I see the joy and emotion my work brings to my clients is unparalleled—it’s what drives me to continue pursuing my passion.
