Geivon “EG”, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today So, naming is such a challenge. How did you come up with the name of your brand?
The day I was removed from a company I helped create, even though I didn’t own it, was the day I decided to start my own company called Hustle Division. The reason behind our split was internal conflicts and business partners driven by ego.
I saw this setback as a fresh start, a chance to take control and apply all the experience I gained from helping others succeed. When people ask me what I do for a living, I simply tell them that I’m in the business of helping people win. And that hasn’t changed.
I knew that no matter which direction I took with my new company, “hustle” would be a core part of it.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
At my company, we focus on disruptive marketing and branding. Our clients come to us based on referrals, which speaks volumes about the quality of our work. We take great pride in handling numerous high-profile client projects without relying on traditional advertising methods.
Our journey has been nothing short of amazing. We’ve helped our clients create real, organic impact through a range of services, such as viral influencer marketing and disruptive rollout strategies.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Being told by close friends and family that I would never achieve anything in the entertainment industry really hit me hard. However, I took that setback and turned it into fuel to make a lasting impact. I never accepted ‘no’ as an answer, determined to prove them wrong.
Can you share one of your favorite marketing or sales stories?
We launched a marketing campaign for Norman’s platinum-certified record, ‘Motivation.’ Just a few days into the campaign, we observed that people on social media were particularly drawn to a moment in the music video where the artist showcased a basketball trick, rather than our original dance concept.
Recognizing this shift in audience interest, we quickly pivoted our creative direction and capitalized on that moment, igniting an organic spark. The rest, as they say, is history. It turned out to be a great record with a successful rollout.
