Hi Geinnessis , thanks for joining us today. We’d love to go back in time and hear the story of how you came up with the name of your brand?
The name of my company started by me think about the future. I wanted a name that would express my own style. I didn’t want to have the name shop or store attached to it so I can eventually make it an actual brand. That is why I thought that having a combination of my name was the best way to brand my own product in the future. This is how GeneGarai was born. It is the fusion between my name Geinnessis and my last name Garaicoa.



Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Since I was young, I’ve been interested in fashion. I worked in clothing stores a long time ago and I always dreamed about having my own store. A place where I could express my creativity.
My store is a clothing store focus on women. For me, it is not just about the clothes, it’s about helping them feel more comfortable and confident when they wear my outfits. This is one the things that sets me apart from other stores. I take my time when I styled them. Taking into consideration the style of each client.
What I am more proud of is that because of the effort I put into it, I’ve had a lot of acceptance from my clients. I know this is only the beginning of what I want to build with my brand.



We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I built my audience by being consistent when creating content. Keeping myself up to date with the latest trends on social media. Also, having my business be seeing in different platforms, not just one.
My audience loves that I do Lives on Instagram every week with new trends as they come into the store. This has helped me keeping them engaged and connected. It makes them feel as part of my community.


Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
The best strategy to grow my clientele it has been creating new content every week. Doing lives and daily stories where I show my clients and potential clients who is behind the store.
Also, I created a showroom in Orlando where my clients can go and feel more comfortable when trying on clothes. I go to local events as well which helps me get my store out there and it has giving me the opportunity to dress famous people too.
