We were lucky to catch up with Gauthier Raad recently and have shared our conversation below.

Gauthier , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.

The most meaningful project I have worked on is the film festival that I have started in different countries. People need to be heard, seen, and understood. In each country, lots of stories stay underground and don’t get enough light! My projects are made for the people who has stories to tell, have stories that move the audiences and make them pause, reflect and think. You may agree and you may disagree, this is not the obstacle. If a healthy society is our goal, then we have to start listening to each other!

Gauthier , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

I am the manager/director of 4 film festivals in 4 different countries (Yes it takes sacrifices). Creative Producer and Filmmaker offering 10+ years of experience creating impactful, fresh, and innovative video content. Skilled content creator with a natural talent for storytelling and the capacity to handle technical editing, business operations, and team leadership requirements. Successful at taking concepts and producing exceptional products. Team-oriented and tactical with a strategic approach to managing diverse requirements.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?

My goal is to give voice to the voiceless, to everybody. I have always felt excluded from my society and the place I was in. I know how much his feeling is unpleasant.
My projects are here to present to everybody. My goal is that through art, I will be able give everybody sometime to speak and shine!

Have you ever had to pivot?

I was always working a 9 to 5-job and trying to manage my projects. Finally, I did it, I took the risk and jumped. I took a year off in my life to really focus and build these projects because I believe in their power to the different societies: American, Canadian, French and Lebanese.
