Garima, appreciate you joining us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
From Health Coach to Snack Creator—How Trailblazing Kitchen Was Born
After over a decade in the wellness industry, working with clients from all walks of life, one thing became clear—most people could figure out nutritious meals with the right guidance, but when it came to snacks, they were lost. Between meetings, errands, and daily chaos, they reached for whatever was quick, often compromising health for convenience.
Personally, as a mom of two active boys in a busy household, I felt that gap even more. We were always rushing out the door, juggling school, work, activities—and there just weren’t enough clean, nourishing snacks we could grab on the go.
That’s when I leaned into something deeply personal: my Indian roots. I grew up starting my day with soaked almonds and snacking on flavorful mixes of nuts, seeds, and spices. It wasn’t just fuel—it was tradition, comfort, and care.
And that’s how Trailblazing Kitchen was born—
a gourmet health food company rooted in my Indian heritage, created for busy families who want clean, simple, energizing fuel without the fuss.

After over a decade in the world of advertising and brand strategy, a personal health crisis in 2013 changed everything. It sparked a deep dive into nutrition, functional wellness, and the healing power of food. That transformation led me to train as a Holistic Health Coach and Culinary Wellness Expert—turning personal struggle into purpose.
Today, I help individuals and families improve their health through evidence-based coaching, practical food education, and sustainable lifestyle shifts. My approach is rooted in the belief that food is medicine—and that wellness can be simple, culturally resonant, and delicious.
As a trained chef, I’ve consulted for cafés and restaurants to create allergy-friendly, plant-forward menus. I’ve also led gut-focused cleanse programs and hands-on cooking classes to support real-life change.
Bringing together my creative roots and wellness expertise, I founded Trailblazing Kitchen—a gourmet snack brand inspired by my Indian heritage and designed for busy families seeking clean, energizing snacks on the go.
With a deeper understanding of bio individuality, I strive to create foods that are functional, satisfying and match the lifestyle of my clients.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
My career path has been anything but linear—and I’m grateful for every twist it took.
Growing up in India, I was deeply inspired by my family’s advertising business. The creativity, storytelling, and excitement of bringing ideas to life fascinated me from a young age. That passion led me into design, where I built a successful career as a Creative Designer and ran my own print media firm for over eight years.
But life had other plans. After getting married and moving to New York, I found myself in a new city, away from my support system, trying to juggle a creative career, a new marriage, and building a home from scratch. In the midst of all this, I experienced a devastating miscarriage. It broke me—not just emotionally, but physically and spiritually. I blamed myself for a long time.
Eventually, I made a decision that changed my life: to get so healthy—mentally, physically, and emotionally—that the next time I became a mother, I would do it from a place of strength, not survival.
That was the beginning of my journey into holistic health.
I retrained as a Holistic Health Coach and immersed myself in the science of nutrition, sustainable habits, and the powerful connection between lifestyle and well-being. What started as a personal healing journey became a professional calling. Today, I not only live a healthier, more intentional life with my family—but I have the privilege of helping others do the same.
Every day, I feel grateful to be making an impact: educating, empowering, and guiding people toward wellness that’s not just about food—but about mindset, resilience, and self-love.

We’d love to hear the story of how you turned a side-hustle into a something much bigger.
While practicing as a Holistic Health Coach, I also enrolled in culinary school to deepen my understanding of health-supportive cooking. What started as a personal mission to cook more intentionally for my family quickly turned into a creative exploration. I began experimenting in my kitchen—creating nourishing meals and snacks, which I shared with friends and neighbors.
To my surprise, these simple creations sparked real excitement. People were curious about ingredients, flavors, and even how something like broccoli could be made delicious. One of the most popular requests? My energy bites for kids—a blend of nuts, seeds, and spices that became a hit in my community.
As the interest grew, so did my passion. What began as a small home project gradually evolved into something bigger. Over the years, I refined my recipes, responded to the needs of busy families like mine, and eventually launched a formal business—Trailblazing Kitchen. Today, it’s not just a passion project or something for friends and family; it’s a growing movement of clean, culturally inspired snacking made for real life.
