We recently connected with Gardy Beaucicaut and have shared our conversation below.
Gardy, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Hello ladies and gentlemen, my name is Gardy. I am originally from Brooklyn NY. And was born on Feb 9, 1994. Growing up, I was more of an introvert than an extrovert, but as I matured, I slowly became more extroverted. To say it most, my discipline really stirs up from just embracing my cultural roots and background. Growing up within a Caribbean house hold, there is very little room for quiting on goals, Because accomplishing goals not only played a part in boosting your self esteem, but it also glorifies your family roots, traditions, culture, and character. As a Mind Coach, a few of the services that I provide are counseling, mentoring, excercise, meal planning, Cognitive Behavioral therapy, etc. When I sit down with someone for the first time, the objective is to assist that person(s) to become more self aware of their identity. And to take them through a curriculum that will direct towards reinventing their habits and pursuing personal growth and development. The main thing that sets me a part is implementing 85% of listening and %15 of talking.
I would say that in the process of serving others on this journey, I am most proud of my willingness to consistently stay young by reading three books a month. Not only is knowledge power, but the knowledge stored within us to further unleash it, and impact those around us, is the power essential to make a difference in lives of others. Overall, the only take away that potential clients should expect from me is that there voice will be heard.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
To begin with, the most effective method that I would say is the method for me to build my clientele is through referrals. I once read a book titled “The E-Myth Revisited.” And the moral of the book is to not work in your business, but work on your business and there is no better way to work on your business than through people. I look at alot of small businesses that launch and they focus on advertising through bill boards , media, news papers, etc. Furthermore, the small businesses tend to overlook one key form of advertisment and that’s through people. People are the best form of advertisment because if your product or service is significant, people will not mind planting seeds and directing traffic your way.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
Ultimately, what helped me build my reputation within my market were three methods. First one being personal growth towards myself. John Maxwell had a quote that states, “everything rises and falls on leadership.” If I wanted to grow my market and attract clients that actually want to grow and change, I had to realize one thing, and that is that everything in life first starts with self awareness. Second method that assisted me within my market is referrals. The greatest form of advertisment is word of mouth. If you’re good, people will talk about you, especially if you’re in an industry where few listeners exist. Lastly, the final method that assisted me was having a willingness to converse with people and meet people where they are at in life within conversation and not just destination. If we really pay attention to what others are saying, most people actually open up to you for the sake of just simply having someone who has a willingness to listen intently to what they are saying.
