We were lucky to catch up with Galit Stein recently and have shared our conversation below.
Galit, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear about the things you feel your parents did right and how those things have impacted your career and life.
My mom has been a special person in my life. She has always been extremely supportive, encouraging, and accepting of where I’m at in my life and where I want to go. She never judged me or tried to pour her doubts into my dreams and goals.
My mom has been a special person in my life. She has always been extremely supportive, encouraging, and accepting of where I’m at in my life and where I want to go. She never judged me or poured her doubts into my dreams and goals.
When I graduated college I wanted to take a gap year and travel around the world before going to get my doctorate degree in Physical Therapy. A lot of people told me you should just keep going to school while you have the momentum. Don’t travel yet. Finish school and go get a job. Then maybe get married and have kids. That’s what most people recommended I do. However, it didn’t feel right in my soul. I wanted to get out of the town I lived in. I wanted to experience something new, see new cultures, experience a new environment, and learn new things. Society will say what it has to say and sometimes that overrides what we want and that’s sad.
My mom understood where I was coming from. She always did what was not “the norm” or “popular” in society. In her generation people were getting married and having kids in their 20’s. Not only did my mother wait till she was 33 to settle down and have kids, but she also traveled all over the world when she was 19 years old! She experienced many different cultures and exposed herself to some poor third world countries including India and Nepal. She has some great travel stories. She taught me to always listen to my heart and what I truly desire and want. Never be afraid to get what you want or feel like you’re doing the wrong thing. Instead of telling me what to do like everyone else, she guided me to always trust myself.
My mom had a huge impact on my journey, in particular my entrepreneurship.
Shortly after moving to Austin, TX I was able to reconnect with myself. I felt so much clarity and space which enabled me to figure out my passions, purpose, and how I can serve this world.
I’m here to help people reconnect with their true authentic selves by optimizing their physical health.
I believe by eating real food with real ingredients and moving your body can help you to begin to cleanse your body of all the physical blocks. In doing so you can expedite your spiritual journey of coming into who you really are at the core. You can then begin to align with things meant for your soul such as relationships, your mission, and your purpose.
My mission is to impact and inspire people to take care of the health of their body. The intention is not only to have a nicer body, but as a form of true self love. One way we can take care of our bodies is by providing copious amounts of nutrients from wholesome foods, and fueling the body through working out.
The goal becomes greater than just to feel more sexy in our bodies. The goal is to allow us to tap deeper into our true selves and expedite our spiritual journeys to attract love, abundance, joy, and authenticity deep in our hearts.
Having a supportive mom in the background has been so important for me and something I will always be grateful for. It’s so easy to listen to the noise from society and the world around us. I’ve heard so many limiting statements before… “There are so many personal trainers,” “Go get a real steady job,” “You are wasting your time.”
My mom not only sees the vision I have but shares my vision and my mission. She knows I have passion in my heart about this subject and can impact so many lives. Through her motivation, support, and encouragement I thrive to keep pushing forward no matter how hard the journey gets. I will do the same for my future kids. I will always support, encourage, and accept them for who they are and where they want to go.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I am Galit! I am a Health and Wellness coach .I help people create enjoyable and simple healthy habits that easily integrate into their lives.
My health and fitness journey began when I was in high school. I had started to develop a little bit of cellulite on my legs and got insecure. I was uncomfortable in my own skin and rarely even wore shorts. I was not confident in myself.
In 2013, my curiosity sparked when looking at how much sugar was in our food products. I was astonished by the sugar content in yogurt, tomato sauce, juices, granola bars, ketchup, and bbq sauce. Only a few people were concerned about the amount of sugar in our food products, which led me to do more research into the health risks of sugar. I then dug even deeper into other aspects of nutrition and how they can facilitate my fitness goals. I began learning and experimenting with different diets like keto, vegan, tracking calories, tracking protein, carbohydrates, sugar, and fat. I was also going to the gym 5 days a week doing weight training and cardio.
Aesthetically, I got the results I wanted, however the mental results I got have inspired me to keep living a healthier lifestyle and inspire others.
I had better memory, increased focus, increased clarity, increased creativity, and more energy. I didn’t even realize how exhausted and fatigued I felt before, until I didn’t feel like that anymore.
When I’m working out consistently and eating healthy foods I feel alive in my body. I have so much energy, and feel like I’m high on life. I feel like a kid.
I wanted to keep going but find a balance I could enjoy and maintain. After studying other countries and diets I realized it was simple. Eat unprocessed real food with real ingredients and move more.
It amazed me how many food products are marketed as “healthy.” But, in reality they are not healthy at all. It’s deceiving marketing. “GMO free” “All natural” “Gluten free” “No sugar added” and “Vegan.” On the ingredients list you’ll read things like canola oil and soybean oil which are inflammatory and processed oils. You’ll see things like soy lecithin which is GMO, you’ll see things like natural flavors which are very similar to artificial flavors. You may read sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate, and BHT. These are all preservatives.
Over time eating all these foreign ingredients takes a toll on the body. The liver, the kidney, and the brain. We may feel fogginess in the brain, fatigued, and may have difficulty focusing. That’s not normal.
I help people live healthier in an unhealthy world. It starts by choosing real food ingredient options at the grocery store and not getting tricked. When we eat healthier not only do we feel better physically but also mentally and spiritually.
I offer a health reset package. I guide you along your health journey, in a way that fits around your lifestyle. I teach you simple healthy habits that are sustainable and enjoyable. You’ll learn how to lose weight and keep it off. You’ll learn how to navigate all the options at the grocery store. You’ll also learn how to confidently go to any gym and know what to do.
Here’s what you’ll get:
– Customized Grocery Lists
– Customized nutrition plan with recipes
– Voxer Support
– Bi Weekly 1×1 calls with me (30 minutes)
– Customized Workouts
– On The Go Travel Food to help you stay on track
I steer away from an all or nothing approach, such as 60 day exercise challenges, 6 days a week at the gym, restrictive diet plans, and calorie counting. Rigorous exercise routines and strict diets aren’t sustainable in the long run or enjoyable.
My approach is progressive and simple. I work with where you’re at in your health journey. Every week we set new attainable goals. One new goal at a time. We gradually add new healthy habits that are enjoyable and balanced to create long term results, so you can lose the weight and keep it off.
You don’t have to feel overwhelmed by all the nutrition and fitness information online. There’s no perfect diet or workout routine. I help you simplify everything when it comes to how to lose weight, build muscle, and have more energy. I teach you how to go grocery shopping and not get overwhelmed by the choices. You’ll learn which ingredients to avoid and why you don’t have to give up your favorite foods.
I’m proud to have made an impact on my client’s health and fitness journeys. I’ve seen my clients lose up to 10 lbs in a month just by eating real food without added chemicals, additives, and artificial ingredients. I’ve seen my clients learn how to maintain their results. I’ve seen the way my clients educate and inspire others to read the food label ingredients and live a more active lifestyle. “Be the change you wish to see in the world.” I plan on doing just that.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
Strive for perfection
I am a recovering perfectionist and have told myself over the last 3 years
“done is better than perfect,” and “progression is more important than perfection.”
I used to struggle with figuring out the perfect plan for my career, and comparing myself to others.
I spent months overthinking and planning out my career. I would hyper analyze everything as I would want everything to be perfect. I thought that if I could over perform over everyone else, and accomplish all my goals to the highest degree that I could bring fulfillment and joy into my life.
My head would be spinning with racing thoughts, “What is the perfect path to go?” What are the obstacles I could run into along the way and how would I handle them?” “Are there any other opportunities that could come up?” All this overthinking and perfectionist mindset got me nowhere. I was not taking any actions until I had created a perfect plan for my career path. However, the reality is there is no perfect plan and I cannot predict the future. There are endless possibilities. I felt overwhelmed and stuck.
I learned that nothing is perfect and that’s okay. Even if someone looks like they have it all together they probably do not. For example, their career is going great and they’re making great money but they may have a horrible boss who’s causing them stress and unhappiness.
As I became more aware of who I am, the gifts that I have, and all the value I bring to the world, I started to learn to trust the process more. Everything will happen the way it is supposed to happen. What’s meant to be for me will be. I just have to stay in my own lane and do the best I can in the moment. Overthinking a perfect plan or strategy, and trying to predict the future gets me nowhere but feeling overwhelmed, anxious, and stuck. Letting go and trusting gives me a sense of peace and relaxation.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
The most effective strategy for growing my clientele has been going out to parties, events, parks, etc.
I notice I do best by being in person and showcasing who I am, what I stand for, my philosophies, and my values. People can feel my presence much better in person than online. They feel my deep passion for the work that I do, they feel my energy, liveliness, and genuine connection I have with them,
I work on creating long lasting relationships with the people that I meet. I consciously make an effort to reconnect and make plans to see each other again. I will invite them to other events that I am going to, and I follow them on social media to stay in touch.
Nurturing the relationships I’ve just made is a key component in creating opportunities for me in the future.
