We were lucky to catch up with Galina Naguibine recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Galina thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
I always wanted to have something of my own. In the beginning it was an idea of a bakery. I was in the baking business since I was 15 and worked in a variety of private bakeries, grocery store bakeries and baked elegant cakes to order for weddings and novelty cakes for birthdays. But after some time we realized that we wanted to live a healthier lifestyle and got into juicing, smoothies and anything that has a lot of vitamins and health benefits. But it had to be yummy. And it had to look great. Appealing to everyone. Eye catching. With a lot of benefits. That’s when the idea of a juice bar came. Plus we didn’t have anything like this in the area, where you can get fresh squeezed juice, right on the spot.
– We built everything around balance. I truly believe that one of the most important things that you can have in life is balance. When we decided to open a juice bar, and were working on the menu we wanted to make sure it was healthy, pure and clean but at the same time tasty, beautiful and attractive!
– When we were choosing the style and mood we wanted to make sure it’s warm, cozy and inviting. So you can come in, hang out and enjoy healthy options. We wanted to be the first step for those who are just starting their health journey and want to be more health conscious but at the same time we’re also for more experienced people to make their diet more exciting. Eating healthy can be happy, tasty, delicious! Bright and colorful. Smell good and Taste amazing!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
We are a juice bar that makes everything fresh to order. Juice, smoothies, Acai bowls, gourmet toast, teas and matcha. We are the only ones in the area who don’t bottle our juice and customers can edit and modify what goes in their drink. Our smoothies are also all natural, no powders, no sugar, no food coloring. Our main goal is to offer products as clean as possible, pure and natural, the way nature intended. We put our heart and soul into preparing it and we make our products very eye pleasing and very tasty. Everything on our menu looks and tastes great, no matter what you choose. Also we give the option to build your own juice or smoothie.
How did you build your audience on social media?
The first platform where we started to advertise was Instagram. Way before we opened, we created a profile with high resolution and very eye catching images of our product. For the first 6 months it was the only way we advertised. It worked great and we still use it as a big part of our marketing. We teamed up with an experienced and talented video producer, who is still creating all of our video content for our social media. I believe that one of the main thing is to have very good images and if you can also videos to build a successful social media account. The next is to be always engaged and put out fresh content on a regular basis.
Can you open up about how you funded your business?
We funded our business completely with our own savings. The good news is, to open a juice bar you don’t need a lot of funds, so it worked out great for us. You just need an idea and something that will make you stand out from others. We set our weekly sale goals from the start and we’re able to hit them every week since the day we opened.
My husband and I also own manufacturing company, Kitchen Design Cabinets and it helped us to save up and have an experience to open another business and be able to pay for it from the start.
