Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Gaia + Ari Reitan. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Gaia + Ari, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Was there a defining moment in your professional career? A moment that changed the trajectory of your career?

As life has it there are many defining moments or crossroads where the decision you make forges as path that you least expect. One of these moments for me (Gaia) was in 2018 when I was asked to be a presenter in a women’s healing group.Typically I did not teach or lead events without my husband, but something in my heart said do it. What was different about this presentation was that I was asked to sing with the use of my harmonium, I had not sung or played my instrument in front of others, so I was definitely hesitant.
This group of women were so welcoming and encouraging that when the host gave me a nod I felt a feeling of safety and so began one of the most incredible rushes I had ever experienced. Reveling this hidden part of me through my voice was exhilarating. I knew then in that moment I was going to lead group events with vocal toning, chanting mantra and meditative sounds and once I was complete with this women’s healing group, the next week, my husband and I began leading monthly toning groups.

As the year went on one day a student asked me after our toning event to tone with him personally to go over a particular sound, as I sat there sounding with him all of a sudden I began to see through his higher self and was able to revel information to him that was relevant for his healing. I was so taken aback and struck with wonder. What just happened? He felt so connected to what was I was seeing through my spirit vision and the messages I heard, which I spoke out loud as I saw and heard them.
So later that evening I asked my husband if I could sit across from him and have him join me to make a simple hum and to my delight, again I could see a whole new world open up and was able to relay healing information that was relevant to him. I just felt so excited and thrilled with this unseen world showing itself to me. I began practicing with everyone that was willing and also practiced almost every night with my husband for years. A new discovery for me was when my husband and I did these healing sessions together I could see even farther.
We began to use sessions for asking questions /divination/ and searching the universe for answers on many different subjects and topics. We even searched for a new location to relocate to. We where able to see the exact home even though it was more then 1200 miles away in a location neither of us had ever been to. We were given details on how to find this location as we did not even know if it was in the USA.
After proving the value of this modality to ourselves it gave us even more proof that we could assist others.

These sessions were used to activate forgotten spiritual gifts as well as bring healing on many levels for clients and groups that we worked with.

I feel that if I would have sad no to the host of the women’s healing group that it would have taken me much longer to discover this incredible gift that we call LightStreaming.

We now offer these sessions both in-person and remotely to individual /couple and groups. In all cases, both Gaia and Ari facilitate these sessions. We utilize a droning instrument called a Shruti. The Shruti makes a melodic droning sound as Gaia rides these sound waves until she meets the clients/groups higher selves, helpers, angelic + guides; from there, she uses her clairvoyant and clairaudient abilities to hear and see the messages that the higher self feels are most relevant for the client to receive at that time. These messages could be – the next steps for healing in the emotional or physical body, the calling back of soul parts, clearing the pertinent blocks you have been facing, knowledge you need for confirmation that your on the right path, meeting or confirmations of the guides and helpers you have been noticing, or suggestions to assist you in the integration of your new activations.
Ari helps in building the container and receives information and what we call a cosmic prescriptions to support the client or group in their integration of the possibilities and information presented.

My Experience with a Light Stream Session by Gaia + Ari
On March 31, 2025, I had what’s called a Light Stream Session with the gifted light workers Gaia + Ari. We weren’t on the phone, or zoom — Gaia and Ari connected with my energy remotely from their end — but the moment they began, I knew something profound was happening.
Shortly after 8 PM (much earlier than I normally wind down), I was suddenly overcome with deep fatigue. I had to get into bed and be completely still. As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

Gaia MB Reitan Bio:
In grade 7 Gaia would be amused with all the colors she would see around the teachers, students and herself. She thought everyone saw colors and once she discovered that everyone did not see that she was very curious of how the body, mind, and soul connection worked within this reality.  She was called to begin Reiki Training in grade 10. This experience of hands-on healing lead her on her journey to dive into the study of Swedish massage and to develop an intuitive approach to life. Gaia felt is was important first understand the physical body, so she caught out the New Mexico Academy of Healing Arts and was awarded her massage therapy diploma in 1997. Fresh out of school in 1997, she opened a successful practice.
Early in her practice, Gaia realized that working with the tissue through massage was not enough. She witnessed so many patterns that just would not heal even though she could feel the tissue was released. She began searching for more tools to help her gain access to the wholistic being. During that process, Gaia diligently studied and got certified in systems like Reiki, La Stone Therapy, Crystal Light Therapy, Integrated Energy Therapy, Marconic Energy Healing, Ortho-Bionomy, and Thai Yoga Massage, just for starters.
The big “ah-ha” moment came when she discovered sound and her surprisingly deep connection with it! Gaia began her sound journey with Shamanic work and drumming at the age of 17.
Since then, she has had the glorious opportunity to study with teachers like Russel Paul, Tom Kenyon thankfully more than once, and Jonathan Goldman, which has forever impacted her direction and approach to working with individuals and groups.
Gaia was called to work with Quartz Crystal Bowls in 1997. Since then, she has been holding sound healing gatherings, doing sound healing treatments, and sound healing ceremonies.  Working with the bowls led her to Tibetan metal bowls, Planetary gongs, and Planetary tuners.
Gaia being certified in many sound healing systems like the Fibonacci Tuning Fork Healing System, she continues to deepen her sound journey the Acutonics Healing System as she is fascinated with sound and our planetary relationships. She is now certified in Mantra Therapy through the lineage of Namadeva Acharya – Thomas Ashley-Farrand and has added this to her repertoire of ancient healing tools. She continues to advance and refine her healing tools and techniques through Sound Healing Teacher Trainings.
In her 29 years of experience, she feels that utilizing sound in treatments allows clients to release right down to the cellular level. Crystal singing bowls, gongs, tuning forks, etc., proved to be successful tools in assisting in complete healing experiences for most clients.

In 2018, she began sharing her passion and leading toning and mantra groups. To her amazement and surprise, a new form of working with light and sound began to reveal itself to her.  Gaia discovered that she could access an individual’s and/ or group’s higher self. She is able to pass this information on to the client or group in real-time. This provided an opportunity for the client and/or group to participate and integrate their healing potentials at that time. This is how LightStreaming came about. Throughout the years, Gaia has taught and applied various sound treatments, created classes and workshops, and facilitated sound healing ceremonies for groups.
Currently Gaia and her husband Ari have combined all of their teaching experience, and knowledge into the many offerings and classes that they have created like the all encompassing Ascension Starseed program.
In their combined 54 plus years of experience they feel to achieve
a state of balance and flow of energy, it is necessary to create a daily practice that promotes a high level of body, mind and spiritual awareness.

Ari Reitan Bio
Being deeply intuitive at a very young age, Ari was searching to understand the subtler aspects of life. Sound and frequency captured his attention, which led him to study music at a young age. To him, the most fascinating aspect of music/sound was feeling the subtle frequencies that coexisted within these sounds. Throughout his early and late adulthood, he continued to search for more nuanced ways of understanding life through sound and frequency. Ari was also very athletic and body aware as things would come to him very quickly, and having a natural curiosity, Ari became intrigued with the human body and its relationship to gravity and the subtle forces that animated it.
In 1979, Ari discovered martial arts while in Japan. He was called to the ancient studies and Aiki arts. During his time in Japan, he found an art called Aikido (the way of harmony). It’s a Japanese martial art created to facilitate harmony with humankind and nature. In many aspects, it is built around understanding the elements that constitute our reality’s building blocks.Ari continued training in Aikido and other traditional martial arts before opening his dojo in 1999.
He has also practiced and taught Reiki at the master level in 3 different systems and became a certified yoga teacher. Ari has incorporated healing practices such as brain wave training, energy healing, crystal and Tibetan singing bowls, tuning forks, and toning into his classes. In the early 2000s, he began teaching spiritual awakening and awareness classes, which were based on finding the connection with source energy within Oneself. This was the beginning of the first one-year Starseed program. He has since continued to facilitate mediation classes and teach his students how to understand and feel subtle energies in relation to time and cause and effect. In 2011, he began incorporating yogic teachings into his movement arts classes. He felt this offered a more balanced and well-rounded approach to achieving harmony within the self. In his approach to healing, Ari feels that by adding sound, light, and movement, individuals can access healing on all levels, and in doing so, physical and emotional clearing can integrate simultaneously. He also designs and builds Tensor field and grid technologies on both a small and large scale. He has used these technologies to assist in re balancing weather patterns, bringing moisture/rain to areas that are out of balance. 
Ari and his wife Gaia have combined their knowledge and experience and are dedicated to assisting humanity to develop deeper connections within. 

What you think sets you apart from others.

What we teach is not a hobby, it is a lifestyle. We make our spiritual progress; and our mental, emotional, physical wellness; and our relationship workings a priority in our lives. We have studied various belief systems, traditions and spiritual practices but we have not defined ourselves by them.

We feel that the effort we make in our personal lives comes through in our classes and workshops. We are very inquisitive, fun and still have wonder and curiosity. This propels us to constantly push the envelope and ask tough questions so that we genuinely know our selves and what we are capable of. We are comfortable being uncomfortable. We are flexible and follow our Higher self-intelligence. We incorporate relevant practices not as a rule but as needs arise which applies to the way we teach and share information. It’s all about the “now”.

We love what we do and are deeply passionate about it. We welcome questions and enjoy sharing in the moment answers. We are good listeners and have the ability to tune into the frequency and the higher selves of our groups. We feel honored to witness the process of our students. For us, it is fulfilling to see the shifts and transformations of our students before our very eyes. This gives us hope that we can all change and transform especially when the truth is revealed.

What are you most proud of and what are the main things you want potential clients/followers/fans to know about you/your brand/your work/ etc.

We are most proud that we can say we live an authentic life and teach an authentic practice. We personally practice what we teach, we live the life we teach.
We are super happy with our choices and we want the very best for our clients/ students/friends and family.

What problems you solve for your clients
Answer
We solve no problems we only bring awareness to the issues at hand for the client or student.
We thrive on engaging with others, we seek you teach our clients to find themselves through themselves. We feel we can connect very deeply with our clients as we are not afraid to say what we see, hear or feel from their higher aspects and within their energy fields.
We also are not afraid to be seen, we do not hide behind a teachers or therapists mask.
We can say that ultimately we want to be better human beings and we also want our clients to feel they can become fully aware of themselves and choose to be the best possible version of a human being as well. We feel that this will solve all problems not only with a client or student, but with the world at large.

Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?

Can you tell us the story of how you met your business partner?
My husband and I are business partners. We met in 2012 at a workshop called the Awakening of the illuminated Heart in Sedona, Az. Before we came together he was teaching Ascension Workshops, Martial arts and Yoga. I had a Wholistic Healing Spa and was practicing Sound Therapy, Energy Healing Arts and Bodywork. We had so many of the same interests and life experiences though we used those experiences in different ways to work with others.

Do you think you’d choose a different profession or specialty if you were starting now?

YES we would. Even-though following a spiritual path has had its challenges, it has been the most fulling path. In our hearts we feel…. what path could be more important? If we do not know who we are and see the potentials we can manifest, see and feel the value of living a human life in a human body, living could feel rather dull. Spiritual evolution, higher self connection, knowing and seeing clear a path forward to the possibility of seeing your true mission in this lifetime and beyond.
