Hi Gaby, thanks for joining us today. Being a business owner can be really hard sometimes. It’s rewarding, but most business owners we’ve spoken sometimes think about what it would have been like to have had a regular job instead. Have you ever wondered that yourself? Maybe you can talk to us about a time when you felt this way?
You know, being a business owner definitely has its ups and downs, but overall, I can confidently say that I’m happier in this role. Sure, there are moments when I catch myself daydreaming about what it would be like to have a regular job – you know, the steady paycheck, set hours, and maybe a little less responsibility. But then, I quickly snap back to reality.
The last time I had that thought was probably during a particularly hectic week. I was juggling multiple projects, wearing multiple hats, and feeling the weight of it all. I won’t sugarcoat it – there were moments of doubt and exhaustion. But amidst the chaos, there were also moments of pure joy and fulfillment.
Every time I see the results of my hard work – whether it’s a satisfied client, a successful project, or even just a positive review – it reminds me why I chose this path. It’s that feeling of accomplishment that makes it all worth it.
Sure, I might be working more hours than before, and yes, I’m pretty much doing everything myself at this stage. But when I take a step back and see how far I’ve come, I wouldn’t change it for anything.
People always say that I seem to genuinely enjoy what I do, and they’re right. I’m a positive person by nature, and I truly believe that happiness is directly related to doing what you love. And for me, being a business owner allows me to do just that.
So while the idea of a regular job might seem tempting at times, I know deep down that I need more – more challenges, more opportunities for growth, and more fulfillment. And as long as I’m able to pursue those things as a business owner, I’ll continue to choose this path with confidence and enthusiasm.
