We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Gabrielle Simone. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Gabrielle below.
Gabrielle, appreciate you joining us today. So, naming is such a challenge. How did you come up with the name of your brand?
Blossom and Bloom is a reflection of my personal evolution, the journey of becoming the woman I aspire to be. It symbolizes self-reinvention, stepping beyond comfort zones, and embracing growth. The name also honors my mother and grandmother, two extraordinary women who instilled in me the values of creativity, strength, grace, and beauty. Their influence is the foundation of everything I do.
At the core of Blossom and Bloom is the belief that your story shapes your design. Whether through interiors or events, my goal is to capture each client’s unique narrative and translate it into a space or experience that feels authentic, elegant, and deeply personal. Every design should spark transformation, a place where someone feels seen and empowered to begin or continue a meaningful chapter in their life.
Blossom and Bloom is more than aesthetics; it’s about storytelling, legacy, and intentional design. Every detail reflects where you’ve been, who you are, and where you’re going.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m Gabrielle Simone, the designer behind Blossom and Bloom Interiors + Events, a design firm that blends interior e-design and event planning where your story shapes your design. My journey into this type of work wasn’t easy, it was actually very personal. I studied business in undergrad and grad, but I’ve always had a creative fire burning inside of me. Along the journey, I learned my ultimate joy was helping others turn their dreams into reality, specifically through design. That realization spawned Blossom and Bloom, a brand that sets its roots in story, intentional purpose, and transformation.
My work sets itself apart by creating designs that are deeply personal, centered around your unique story. I don’t just decorate rooms or add glam to parties, I listen, interpret, and bring to life what one would have otherwise dreamed up in prayer. Whether it’s transforming a living room, staging a home for a fresh season, or decorating a celebration that’s marking a personal milestone, I bring a comprehensive view that harmonizes authenticity, beauty, and sophistication.
At Blossom and Bloom, we offer interior e-design, virtual 3D mockups, freelance services, custom design packages, and event styling for intimate gatherings and local events. My favorite part of the process is the beginning, when nothing exists yet, and we get to build it all from scratch. When the pieces fall into place, and someone feels heard? That’s the best.
I’m most proud of upholding the integrity of my brand: making folks feel at home in their spaces and in their stories. In the end, I want to have people understand this, your vision matters, and with proper guidance, it can become a lovely reality.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
One of the most defining moments in my journey came when I was let go of what I thought was a stable, promising job. On paper, it was a failure, but in spirit, it was a turning point. Instead of panicking or leaping into the next thing for security’s sake, I chose to take a step out in faith. I took that time to hear deeply within myself, to God, and to the soft voices of purpose that I had been putting off for years.
It was not simple. There were moments of uncertainty, self-doubt, and tension. But also clarity. I realized that getting laid off wasn’t rejection, it was redirection. It gave the space to wonder: What do I want? What am I here for? That quiet brought with it a vision. I began investing in the things that ignited my heart, which are interior design, artistic creativity, event planning, and helping others feel seen and celebrated in their space.
The instant I aligned with that reality, doors began opening unexpectedly and in abundance. Collaborations, clients, new projects… doors I had not even knocked on started to open. That season reminded something deep in my spirit: when you live your God-ordained purpose, provision follows.
That season is where I discovered that resilience is not merely about resiliency, it’s about being steadfast in faith when everything around you is questionable. It’s about having faith that what’s yours won’t slip by you, and being strong enough to build a life that lights up as brightly as the light within you. I’ve carried that lesson with me on every project, every client interaction, and every risk I’ve ever taken as a creative entrepreneur. And I know now beyond any shadow of a doubt that I was meant to be doing this.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy I’ve found for growing my clientele has been leading with my personality and presence. I truly believe I am the brand, my energy, my story, and the way I connect with others is what draws people in. I’ve learned that when I put myself out there confidently and consistently, whether through social media, networking, or discovery calls, the right clients naturally gravitate toward me. People invest in people, and when they feel seen, heard, and inspired, that trust becomes the foundation of the relationship. So for me, growth has come from showing up as my full self and always putting my best foot forward with intention and integrity.
