Alright, Gabrielle Lyles thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – walk us through the story?
In 2016, I was a freshman at Jackson State University when I first stumbled across a post from a photo booth supplier showcasing their new and improved photo booth design. Something about it immediately caught my attention — the idea of creating joyful, memorable moments for people stuck with me. I told myself that someday, I would go back and invest in one. It became one of those little dreams that quietly sat in the back of my mind while life moved forward.
Fast forward to 2023. After experiencing a lot of personal churn — the ups and downs that life tends to throw at you — I realized that waiting for the “perfect time” wasn’t serving me anymore. I made the decision to become my own investor and finally bring that dream to life. I poured my own savings, time, and belief into launching *Moments to Memories Photobooth*.
At the time, it felt like a huge leap. I was putting real money, energy, and faith into something that had lived only in my imagination for years. I knew I had a naturally personable personality — I loved connecting with people, making them laugh, making them feel seen — but I needed a way to meet people, spread joy, and build something meaningful at the same time.
The beauty of a photo booth is that no one ever comes to it upset. It’s a magnet for smiles, laughter, and celebration. I knew in my gut that this was the right path for me.
Taking the risk to invest in myself and my dream has completely changed my life. *Moments to Memories* has allowed me to create unforgettable experiences for so many different people — and every event, every smile captured reminds me why that leap of faith was worth it.

I am Gabrielle Lyles, the proud founder of Moments to Memories Photobooth. I’m so much more than that though, I’m a St. Louis native who is always the life of the party and love to make people smile. from ideation, I knew I wanted to create a business that captured more than just images — I wanted to capture pure, genuine joy. Building a business on around connection, happiness, and celebration was a goal of mine.
We provide modern, high-quality photo booth experiences for weddings, corporate events, birthday parties, and so much more. Our services are fully customizable — from backdrops and props to photo templates and digital sharing options — so every client can create a unique and unforgettable experience tailored to their event. Whether it’s traditional photo strips, digital photo sharing, GIFs, or customized printouts, we turn fleeting moments into lasting memories.
One of the biggest problems we solve for our clients is helping them create *real engagement* at their events. What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
The best sources of new clients for *Moments to Memories Photobooth* have definitely been a combination of wedding shows, networking, and word of mouth. Wedding shows have been incredible for getting in front of couples who are actively looking for ways to make their big day unforgettable. Networking — both online and in-person — has helped me build relationships with event planners, venues, and other vendors who consistently refer clients my way. And of course, word of mouth has been powerful; there’s nothing better than past clients sharing their great experiences and happy memories with their friends and family.
Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
I stay connected with my clients and foster brand loyalty mainly through email marketing. After an event, I follow up with personalized thank-you emails and share highlights or galleries from their special day. I also send out occasional newsletters with updates, special promotions, and tips for future events. My goal is to make every client feel valued long after their event is over, and to keep *Moments to Memories* top of mind whenever they’re planning their next celebration.
