We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Gabrielle Brown. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Gabrielle below.
Gabrielle , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Parents can play a significant role in affecting how our lives and careers turn out – and so we think it’s important to look back and have conversations about what our parents did that affected us positive (or negatively) so that we can learn from the billions of experiences in each generation. What’s something you feel your parents did right that impacted you positively.
One of the greatest things my parents did right was instilling God in me from the very beginning. Faith wasn’t just something we practiced on Sundays; it was the foundation of our home and the lens through which we viewed life. They also made me believe that I could do absolutely anything I set my mind to. That confidence and courage have carried me through every season of my journey, from ministry to business.

Gabrielle , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
For those who may not know me, I’m a woman who wears many hats: wife, mom, pastor, and entrepreneur. My God-sister once told me that what she admires most about me is that if I put my mind to something, I’m going to do it no matter the cost. That’s truly who I am at my core: determined, faith-driven, and resilient.
Every day, I’m learning to balance the callings on my life while still giving myself grace. There have been moments when I’ve had to take unexpected but necessary breaks, not because I was giving up, but because I wanted to protect my peace and be able to show up as my best self for my family, my clients, and my community.
Through my work, I specialize in all things style. From styling community and church leaders to designing and coordinating weddings, I love helping people look and feel their best for life’s most meaningful moments. I also create handcrafted pieces such as jewelry, t-shirts, hats, and custom accessories that allow women to express their faith and individuality with confidence.
What sets me apart is my heart. I approach every project with prayer, purpose, and excellence. I recently made the decision to revamp my wedding business, shifting from full-service planning to coordination-only for a season. It was a hard but healthy choice that allowed me to embrace balance and give myself grace.
What I’m most proud of is my determination to never give up. No matter what life throws my way, I’m committed to showing up in faith, in purpose, and with the belief that God’s plan is always worth the wait.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
A major lesson I had to unlearn was believing that everyone in business operates with the same level of integrity that I do. For a long time, I assumed that if I treated people right, they would do the same in return. But through experience, I learned that isn’t always the case.
I’ve worked with several vendors who didn’t operate with honesty or follow through, and because I value integrity so deeply, it honestly never crossed my mind that others might not. Those moments were disappointing, but they also taught me an important truth: business is business, no matter the person.
Now I move with both grace and wisdom. I still believe in doing everything with integrity, but I’ve also learned to protect my boundaries, set clear expectations, and handle every partnership professionally rather than personally. That balance has allowed me to keep my heart pure while still running my businesses effectively.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I believe what’s helped me build my reputation is that I always show up — not just physically, but with excellence, professionalism, and heart. My name means everything to me, so I take pride in how I handle my clients and my work. If I ever make a mistake, I don’t just apologize; I make it right. There have been times when I’ve given money back simply because integrity matters more to me than profit.
I treat every client relationship with care and intentionality. While I’m working with someone, I take the time to get to know them beyond the surface. Many of my clients become friends because I genuinely want to understand their vision, their style, and their personality so I can bring it to life in a way that truly reflects who they are.
That commitment to excellence, integrity, and authenticity is what keeps people coming back — and what I believe continues to set me apart in my industry.
