We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Gabriella Noel a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Gabriella, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Do you have a hero? What have you learned from them?
I would not be where I am today if it were not for my supportive family and friends. I am inspired everyday by someone new, old or present. Clarity and simplicity is necessary in order to experience each opportunity along your journey. My father taught me the meaning of earning everything you have in life.
Two key books that have helped me through my career have been, Happy Sexy Millionaire; the chapter on chaos is more than relatable and key to understanding problem solving. Power of Positive Thinking; succeeding in life is far from easy and keeping a positive outlook encourages positive outcomes.
Gabriella, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I own three businesses. Audo, Best of PB LLC, UNiQ Impression aka. Social Shark Media. @Audocalifornia is the newest allowing equity shares in supercars – making a dream car more obtainable. Best of PB LLC aka @pacific.beach & @sandiegofree is a community based business helping local brands, restaurants & start-ups gain exposure. Through Best of PB we also have a community outreach team helping with beach clean-ups, homelessness, lost or abandoned animals. UNiQ Impression @socialshark_media is my more seasoned business focusing on personalized social media management/ marketing & consulting for businesses around the world. I started UNiQ Impression to help businesses grow and reach their desired goals. In marketing it is easy to be taken advantage of and I want to change this norm.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Originality & User Generated Content (UGC) – These are the two most important terms needed to grow an instagram, build credibility, brand recognition, and create a community/tribe around your brand. Give your audience a reason to follow your account. If your avatar is using the platform for entertainment, then entertain them. If your consumer is using social media to learn, then educate them. Try not to overthink it because that takes the fun out of marketing. Spending a ton of money on content is not always necessary. In certain circumstances having a professionally produced ad is key to a brands success however across social media keeping your video simple, real and not overly produced creates a sense of empathy and genuine interest in the brand. Play into relatability. User generated content is a fun way to create brand recognition, genuine connections, extra exposure; original and entertaining videos or photos. I grew my instagrams @pacific.beach & @sandiegofree by showcasing and creating a real relationship with the community.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
My involvement in the community and with local businesses is what helped build my reputation in the market.
