We recently connected with Gabriella Guerriero and have shared our conversation below.
Gabriella, appreciate you joining us today. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
Since childhood. Creating was instinctive. It wasn’t a decision—it was identity. The moment I realized others couldn’t see what I could imagine, I understood it was a path, not a hobby.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m a visual artist and school director who lives in contrast. I’m usually dressed in black, but my art is an explosion of color. That tension—between structure and chaos, darkness and vibrancy—is what defines my work.
Through The Lab Art Studio, I create pop art pieces, sculpted faux sweets, and mixed-media works that feel alive. They’re playful, nostalgic, and a little strange—like a Tim Burton world caught under bright lights.
My background in education taught me balance and precision; art gave me freedom. Together, they shaped a creative voice that’s bold, emotional, and unapologetically different.
My goal is simple: to create work that transforms spaces and stirs feeling—to show that even from the darkest palette, color always finds a way to break through.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
Creation is control. It’s the one space where chaos becomes order on my terms. The reward is transformation—taking emotion, memory, or conflict and turning it into something tangible and beautiful. It’s proof that pain or pressure can produce something valuable.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I built my audience through contrast and curiosity. My work has always balanced light and intensity—bright, playful, and full of energy, yet grounded in depth and emotion. The Lab Art Studio became my creative laboratory, where every sculpture and painting feels like an experiment in color, texture, and wonder. I never wanted my art to feel predictable; I wanted it to feel alive, imaginative, and a little otherworldly.
My advice: treat your art like alchemy. Let your studio be the laboratory where color, texture, and emotion react. Don’t chase trends—conduct experiments. The right audience will always find the spark in your controlled chaos.
