We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Gabrieline Reece. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Gabrieline below.
Alright, Gabrieline thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What do you think Corporate America gets wrong in your industry?
The advancement of women from diverse racial backgrounds is significantly slower compared to their counterparts. Throughout the entire process, the proportion of women of color in leadership roles consistently declines in comparison to White women and men of the same racial and ethnic group. Unless companies actively confront this inequality, women of color will continue to be significantly underrepresented in leadership positions.
Gabrieline, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?
I funded my business using my personal savings because I strongly believed in the idea and wanted to invest in it. To gain support for my goals, I organized community events and activation programs that provided people with the necessary resources. This approach helped me establish connections with several potential partners who later invested in my organization’s objectives.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
I had to train myself to stop self-sabotaging and learn that in order to achieve my goals and keep growing, I needed to believe that I deserve success and that I belong exactly where I need to be, regardless of any negative thoughts or doubts.
