We recently connected with Gabriela Lopez and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Gabriela , thanks for joining us today. Let’s start with a story that highlights an important way in which your brand diverges from the industry standard.
Something that we like to do differently is focus on overall wellness and mental health within the Entertainment industry and within the craft of acting.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Hi! I’m Gabriela Lopez. I have been a working actor since 2010 and have been teaching for over 6+ years. My passion for teaching comes from the many ups and downs I’ve faced along my journey of being an actress in Los Angeles; having acting classes to come back to, and knowing I had a space and community to uplift me and support me along the way, is what continues to keep my career going.
I came up with the idea to start my own acting studio focusing on empowerment through the cultivation of mental, physical, and spiritual well-being. As many obstacles artists face are internal, I wanted to create a safe space for personal and artistic discovery. Once my vision was clear, I assembled a team of other working actors and creatives, who are among some of my closest friends, to join the team.
The purpose of glö is to give students accessibility to work with actors who are currently working in the industry, something I felt gives a fresh and updated approach to what many current acting studios in LA offer. I see glö as a one-stop shop for actors to be red-carpet-ready. I’m incredibly grateful for the many lives glö has impacted and touched so far, and am beyond excited to serve many more creatives who are ready to catapult their dreams into reality.
glö provides online and in person acting classes, screenwriting classes, full-service headshots, demo reels that we produce and write to fit your brand and make you shine, customized career map reports where I help map out unique steps month by month for you to take to end up at your desired goal, and customized branding reports to help you understand and utilize your individual brand more effectively. In addition to this, we offer 1:1 coachings, masterclasses with industry guests, and open mic nights.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
In the pandemic, I started glö as an online acting school, and once things began to open up again, we pivoted to operating mostly in person to be able to better service our clients. Holding classes in person is an entirely different structure than how we started, but it has given our students the opportunity to be on their feet, meet new people, and connect face to face.
Glö is currently in another transitional period of pivoting to become a non-profit with the intent to service more people, and touch more facets of the arts through classes, masterclasses, events, and production. Our goal is to become more affordable and attainable for everyone in the community, As we prepare for this shift, we are excited to grow and discover new ways to reach glö’s fullest potential.
Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
In order to retain clients and uphold our brand ideals and beliefs, we hold events for our students where we’ve created a family and fostered a mentality to give clients access to everything we have to offer from the jump. It is a tight-knit group of people where we are invested just as much in the success of their career as we are in their well-being. Class sizes are limited in order to create a safe space for people to feel comfortable to do their best work, and this in turn creates a sense of community. Some of our special events include open mic nights, meditation and breath work classes, and industry guest led workshops.
