We recently connected with Gabriela Garcia and have shared our conversation below.
Gabriela , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
Over the years, we have seen the immense need for alternative healing methods. A more holistic approach to certain pains, and diseases. A need for finding, and keeping hope and even more during the ever changing pandemic.
Born in the community of South East, San Diego CA. A resilient community who has always been outvoted, yet had many victories. Daughter of parents born and raised in Mexico City. My entrepreneurial journey began 10 years back. Moving to Los Angeles, San Francisco and intertwined a mexican lbgtq woman to the world of wolves and sheeps. Jumping forward to 2019, noticing the demand for herbalism alternative and cbd products.
We decided to break free from investors, male dominated industries and working 16-20 hour days. To open my very own solo venture as a business owner. Lone Labs CBD came from the mind, turned it into a tangible business. We will be going on our fourth year. Overcoming many obstacles, pandemic and dealing with our own personal issues and mental health.
Lone Labs CBD is a one stop shop. Offering a variety of reputable products. From pain salves, to tinctures for seizures and much more. Our mission is to help those who experience anxiety, overcoming grief. From children to elderly, cbd has been used as a wide range of alternative holistic healing approaches.
January 20, 2021 my beautiful grandmother transcended. To a new life, to a new journey. Before then she was using a 500mg cbd salve that was helping her alleviate her physical pains. So I decided to manufacture our own version from ancestral guidance and herb remedies I grew up with. The day we launched our first version, it was one day too late. January 21,, 2020. With immense pain and grief in my heart and soul. It has been our mission with our salves to help those in pain. So much love and tears and emotion, healing and hope goes into the making of these salves. To helping more people and connecting with those who feel disconnected.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My entrepreneurial journey started back in 2013. Out of college with no sense of direction. Being placed an opportunity on my lap. Investors, politicians in the prop 215 era. Opening up shops, delivery services in La Jolla CA. Expanding locations to LA all the way to the Bay. Applying my discipline my mother instilled in me as a child. Moving so loving and cautiously with the love my grandmother gave me. I have ran multiple facilities, manufacturing, distribution and retail. Operating huge events such as SONOMA CUP and HIGHTIMES CUPS. What sets me aside from others is the community I grew up in molded me. The family I came from made me. And ultimately my personal drive and experiences have gotten me to go the journey I envisioned. To flying private jets at 26 was a huge accomplishment, making sure all of the business endeavor grew to its maximum potential, I am proud that ten years down the line we can genuinely do something we love for the love of others. To be there for one another and offer something that can ease pain, and or worries. Our brad is unique, it is one a kind. We are extremely humbled by our journey and without the people I myself wouldn’t be here. We are one, in a different experience. To be compassionate for your clients and our craft. Making it al come full circle.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Transparency always helps. As a human, mother, daughter, aunt, cousin, business owner and community member. On top of other things, I will always want to connect first hand with everyone. Thinking it is very important to create and develop relationships, long term. To be compassionate about those who are helping you grow your business by words of mouth or purchasing an item. Energy does not lie and our customers can feel we care about them. More than just a business transaction. We are expanding our communities. With all of that we create, trust. And trust is important in all aspects of life.
How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
We keep in touch with our customers by personally reaching out. Letting them know we are here for them at any moment. Forming these relationships we speak of, it is hard to forget someone in a relationship of any sort. The loyalty we create around our business reflects on our character, what we believe in, and customer satisfaction
