One significant risk I took in my creative journey was to transition from my well-established role in fashion photography to exploring the captivating realm of food photography. This shift was more than just a change in subject matter; it was a daring leap into uncharted waters that required me to redefine my artistic direction.
The catalyst for my venture into food photography was my inherent passion for food. It wasn’t solely inspired by my travels, although they significantly informed all aspects of my life. This deep-seated passion ignited a desire to capture the essence of food through my lens, blending my love for photography with my appreciation for culinary artistry.
The decision to delve into food photography while still maintaining my involvement in fashion was not without its challenges. I had established myself as a Photography Director for renowned fashion brands, producing visually stunning content that exceeded industry standards. It was a comfortable and successful role, but a part of me yearned for a new creative outlet that resonated on a deeper level. This internal drive pushed me to embrace the risk of exploring an entirely different genre.
Navigating this transition required a leap of faith. I needed to build a new network of collaborators, refine my understanding of food aesthetics, and learn the intricacies of capturing the stories and emotions behind each dish. It was a process of trial and error, with moments of uncertainty and self-discovery. The risk lay in stepping away from a well-trodden path and forging a new one that aligned with my evolving passions.
The outcome of this risk has been remarkably rewarding. While retaining my involvement in fashion photography, my foray into food photography has enriched my artistic portfolio and expanded my creative horizons. Notably, it has introduced me to some of the most incredible people in the food and beverage industry and connected me with a community of amazing creatives to collaborate with.

Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, I pursued my passion for the arts by studying fine arts at Tufts University in conjunction with the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Coming from a lineage of creatives, creativity has always been in my blood. From a young age, I found myself drawn to creative projects, which led me to explore Adobe software and honed my artistic skills. While I initially considered a path in graphic design, my introduction to photography—shooting and developing my own film—changed the trajectory of my creative journey.
Navigating post-art school challenges was a pivotal phase for me. One of the most significant hurdles was transforming my artistic skills into a commercial venture and managing my own business. My journey began by capturing runway shows and conducting interviews with creatives in the fashion industry for People en Español in New York. This evolved into creating stills and motion content for brands. A game-changing moment occurred when a freelance client offered me an in-house position in Los Angeles. Relocating to a new city at the right juncture enabled me to evolve further in my career.
The driving force behind my creative pursuits has always been the challenge of improvement and exploration. I thrive on pushing my boundaries, trying new things, and continually refining my processes. The experience of relocating multiple times—from Buenos Aires to Miami, Boston to New York, and now to Los Angeles—has significantly shaped my ability to connect with new places and people, further enriching my creative perspective.
My offerings encompass photography, art direction, and creative production. I specialize in crafting campaign shoots for a diverse range of brands, spanning fashion, beauty, and food and beverage. From e-commerce shoots to video direction, I strive to embody a holistic approach. What sets me apart is my firsthand in-house experience, allowing me to understand client-facing needs and deliver enhanced value. I’m committed to fostering an optimal on-set environment that harmoniously merges comfort and workflow efficiency.

The most effective strategy I’ve found for expanding my client base revolves around cultivating a positive experience that resonates with clients long after the shoot. It all starts with attitude—ensuring that I bring my best self to every interaction. A positive demeanor not only fosters a comfortable atmosphere but also instills confidence in clients that their project is in capable hands. This is especially crucial on set, where I believe in being a proactive problem solver.
Recognizing the inherent stress that shoots can sometimes entail, I aim to provide a seamless and enjoyable experience. By stepping into the role of not just a photographer but also a collaborator and support system, I alleviate potential stressors and uncertainties. This personalized approach extends to understanding client needs and expectations, translating them into a visually compelling reality.
While the presence of an on-set producer can ease the process, I’ve found that creating a positive atmosphere and offering solutions in real-time has a transformative impact. This is a powerful way to elevate the entire shoot and leave clients with a memorable, productive experience.
The word-of-mouth grapevine has proven to be my most potent marketing tool. When clients have a positive experience working with me, they’re naturally inclined to share their journey with others. This organic form of endorsement underscores the value of delivering excellence beyond the lens. Satisfied clients not only remember the quality of the work but also the collaborative spirit and dedication that went into crafting their vision.
