We were lucky to catch up with Gabe Gamboa recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Gabe thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
My wife came home with a a black intriguing stone she called Black Turmaline. I have to say it was a really cool specimen, but what threw me for a loop was she tole me it would calm me and help me sleep. The first thought coming to mind was that she was scammed by some hippie master sales person.
Suffering from insomnia , I skeptically embraced the possibility of such a simple remedy to cure my ailment. Diving in head first I openly embraced the possibility and abandon my education and logic. Could this stone really help me?
I couldn’t explain it at the time, but it made a difference. This was the start of my journey and deeper connection with the earth.
Before you stop reading, Im not a hippie or a nut job. I know it sound insane but I really needed to discover more.
Our journey started by visiting metaphysical stores who sold beneficial stones. There were so many different rocks that did different things. From polished rocks to jewelry. Each had their purpose.
This started my education into minerals and lapidary art. The world I entered is overwhelming. So many beautiful stones with so many benefits, almost feels psychotic.
As is ventured deeper into this world, it became apparent the exploitation of human emotions to sell the precious gifts of the earth. The deeper I dug, the more i realized that profit drives the irresponsible mining and crafting of these earth gifts.
My mission is two fold- the first is the responsible sourcing of earths gifts, the second is to honor and respect what took nature billions of years to create. No One in the industry respects this. They simply cut and destroy the earth to exploit its gifts and make a profit.
What the industry does not realize is these precious stones have a memory. When purchasing finished stones- jewelry etc the process naturally records the human energy they come in contact with the stones. If they are crafted under dangerous or hazardous conditions, they will absorb the pain and anxiety of the humans who extracted it from the earth.
My mission is to responsibly source my materials and celebrate the privilege of the material guiding my hand in achieving a “life’s companion”.
What I create for you from the gifts of the earth , should be passed down form generation to generation. I work to make heirlooms. You can pass to your great, great, great grandchildren, The more hands it passes , the greater the connection to your heritage and their experience on earth.

Gabe, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Imagine yourself at a swap meet of rocks and coming across a really cool looking triangular piece of rock with a green tint to it. I picked it up and asked how much for this piece? The Australian Miner said “You can keep that Mate”
This started my journey of learning how to shape and polish stones.
Im a bit of a recluse. Only certain people can get into my personal space.I am a newborn in the industry. I struggle with charging a fee for a service that brings me closer to the earth while helping individuals unlock their own ability to heal themselves.
Currently, I’ve only taken referrals due to the emotional investment I dedicate to each piece requested of me. My fees are reasonable considering each and every work will be there for generations.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
Improving someones quality of life by exposing the power of our natural world.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
Life can and will be rough. My goal is to provide means of comfort to help manage emotions.
