Alright, G0ldilock thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?

I first knew / had the thought I wanted to be an artist about my junior year of high school. I was recording music and releasing it on SoundCloud my junior year but it was for sure until my senior year I figured I can really do something with my musical talent.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I’m g0ldilock, I’m from Minneapolis, Minnesota. I first started making music because my brother is an artist as well so that Inspired me to becoming one as well. I make music for people out there who love to have fun and love feeling themselves and feeling good. I think the way I control my voice and use it as an instrument sets me apart from catchy melodies to the bars you couldn’t hear/ catch the first time. The thing I’m most proud of is the fact that I kept going And just getting started. From doing my first shows to my first interviews now my first debut project the challenges and obstacles haven’t stopped me along this artistic journey.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

I think the most rewarding thing about being a creative is the trials and tribulations you go through while making the art. But the final product is always different than the thought you had in your head. So for me the reward is watching what I create come to life the more I work on it.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

Yeah I built a fan base or following on instagram by staying legitimate with the followers I do have and the likes I receive. I don’t recommend people use fake followers or likes on social media because it sets back the process of building that fanbase up. I just followed new people from the same scene as me (minnesota) and a ton of other new people from all over the world.
