We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Fynn Jane Coleman a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Fynn Jane , thanks for joining us today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
Taking risks often feels like stepping into the unknown, and it’s especially daunting when it involves your hard-earned money. For me, the decision to invest in a hotel renovation at the start of this year was one of the most daring moments of my life. While I’ve always been an analytical thinker—one who tends to overanalyze things to the point of resurrection—this opportunity required a leap of faith in an industry that was entirely unfamiliar to me.
The fear was real. Investing outside of my comfort zone brought waves of doubt. Would this pay off? Was I prepared for the unknowns? But my natural curiosity kept me grounded. I did my due diligence, researching the hotel franchise, vetting the deal, and studying the investors leading the charge. This wasn’t a blind risk; it was a calculated one rooted in preparation and trust in the vision.
When I finally said “yes,” I knew I wasn’t just investing in a business—I was investing in possibility. To make it even more significant, I brought together a group of five other women to pool our resources. Collectively, we became part of something bigger, united by the belief that this investment could be transformational. It was no longer just about financial returns; it was about creating a shared legacy.
Taking risks with others brings its own rewards. When you step into uncertainty as a team, you share both the weight and the excitement. You learn from each other, grow together, and multiply the impact of your efforts. Collaboration turns fear into fuel because you know you’re not navigating the unknown alone. There’s immense power in shared vision and collective faith.
This journey has shown me that the greatest rewards often come from embracing discomfort. Risk, when paired with preparation and courage, is a gateway to new opportunities. And when that risk is shared, it builds community, trust, and resilience—qualities that transcend the initial investment and enrich your life in ways you never imagined.
In the end, the payoff isn’t just financial—it’s about proving to yourself that you’re capable of more than you thought and inspiring others to believe the same.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Living authentically means walking a path uniquely yours, guided by purpose rather than societal norms or expectations. This belief led to the creation of T.H.A Power Factor Academy (TPFA), a transformative space designed to help individuals reclaim their higher selves. At TPFA, the focus is on addressing root cause traumas and equipping clients with tools to break destructive cycles and patterns that block personal growth.
T.H.A stands for Tried & Tested, Healed & Highly Favored, Anointed & Appointed—a reflection of the resilience, transformation, and purpose TPFA helps clients achieve. The academy’s approach is distinct in its focus on holistic empowerment, restoring not just the mind but also the spirit.
Problems we aim to solve:
• Helping individuals identify the underlying causes of emotional or behavioral patterns.
• Providing actionable tools and strategies to break free from cycles that hinder growth.
• Empowering clients to overcome resistance and step into their purposed lives.
What sets TPFA apart:
Our academy is not just about personal development; it’s about restoration. We combine self-discovery with actionable healing practices, ensuring clients are equipped to live authentically and fully. Our framework is built on faith, resilience, and empowerment, making it uniquely suited for those seeking more than just surface-level transformation.
What potential clients should know:
At TPFA, we understand that healing and growth require courage and commitment. We are here to walk alongside you, empowering your mind and providing the tools you need to overcome obstacles and live the life you were designed for. With us, you’ll find not just a program but a community dedicated to seeing you thrive.
We are in the beginning stages of this academy but we are excited for the growth thus far.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
One lesson I had to unlearn is “strength means doing it all on your own.”
The backstory lies in my journey of becoming the person I was created to be. For much of my life, I believed that true strength came from self-reliance—handling everything on my own and never showing vulnerability. This belief was deeply rooted in my need to prove my worth and capability to myself and others. However, as life’s challenges grew more complex, this mindset became a heavy burden.
There came a point where I realized that isolating myself in times of struggle was not a sign of strength but a barrier to growth. I began to see that true strength lies in humility—acknowledging when help is needed, trusting others, and being open to receiving support. This shift required me to confront my fears of rejection and judgment, but it also allowed me to experience genuine connection and transformation.
Unlearning this lesson became a cornerstone of my philosophy for T.H.A Power Factor Academy. It’s why I emphasize the importance of identifying root traumas and breaking patterns. Sometimes, the strongest thing you can do is let go of the false beliefs that no longer serve you and step into a life of authenticity, community, and purpose.

Have you ever had to pivot?
One significant time I had to pivot in life was when I decided to create T.H.A Power Factor Academy.
For a long time, I was moving through life with a deep desire to help others but felt confined by traditional roles and expectations. I was excelling professionally and meeting goals, yet something inside me was unsettled. I realized I was helping people on the surface but not addressing the deeper transformations they needed—something I knew I could do because I had walked that journey myself.
The turning point came during a personal season of reflection and struggle. I had to confront my own patterns, break cycles, and dig into the root causes of my blocks. This process wasn’t easy; it meant stepping away from familiar ways of operating and embracing the uncomfortable work of unlearning and rebuilding.
This pivot wasn’t just about my own growth—it was about creating something that could help others through similar journeys. The idea of the academy was born from this experience. I realized my purpose wasn’t to fit into an existing mold but to create a space where others could also break free and become.
The pivot was about aligning my work with my calling. It wasn’t an easy shift, but it was necessary. It taught me that sometimes the path forward requires leaving behind what’s comfortable to embrace what’s purposed.
