We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Future Find a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Future, appreciate you joining us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
When we first started thinking about Future Find, one thing in specific stood out to us: students were only gaining internships or other opportunities due to their personal connections. No matter how capable or driven you were, it felt like doors were closed if you didn’t have the right network. We wanted to change that. The idea came from seeing friends and classmates struggle to find opportunities that matched their skills and goals, while others with better connections had access handed to them.
We became aware of the real-time gap at that point. Some platforms and competitors had tried to build something similar, but they did not give students the right fitted opportunities or make them easy to access at all. Most of the time, you just felt as though you were scrolling through lists that weren’t relevant or even personalized. We wanted to take a very different approach and actually connect students to opportunities that made sense for them.
The demand was obvious, so we knew this idea could succeed. Students are hungry for opportunities, whether it is to strengthen their college applications, build experience for their careers, or simply explore what they are interested in. What excites us most is that we are not just creating another job board. We are starting to revolutionize the way students discover opportunities. Our approach is about leveling the playing field and making sure the best opportunities are visible and accessible to everyone, not just a select few. That vision is what keeps us motivated, and it is why we believe Future Find can make a lasting impact.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
We are Raj Sheth, Rohan Sheth, and Shiven Velagapudi, the co-founders of Future Find. Each of us came from different experiences, but we all saw the same problem: too many students were shut out of meaningful opportunities simply because they lacked the right personal connections. That inspired us to come together and create a solution that could open doors for every student, no matter their background. However, it wasn’t some small get-together to make a club at our local high school, it was much larger than that.
Future Find is a platform designed to give students access to experiences that truly fit their goals and interests. Through Future Find, students can discover internships with top companies around the globe, many of which are exclusive to our platform, along with competitive college programs and volunteering roles that help them build real skills and stand out. Unlike other platforms that offer generic listings that are found anywhere online, we focus on curating opportunities that are personalized and actually relevant to each student’s path through our real-time updated generator.
What makes us proud as co-founders is not just the product, but the purpose behind it. We want students like us to have a fair shot at experiences that can shape their futures without solely relying on connections. For us, Future Find is more than a business, it is a movement to level the playing field. We believe that every student who works hard and has the drive to grow should have the chance to access the best opportunities, no matter where they come from. We also believe Future Find has the ability to scale to millions of students around the world as we continue to change student opportunity accessibility.

How’d you meet your business partner?
We actually met the same way a lot of students do: through school. For me and my brother, we had already grown up working on ideas together, but over time we realized that teaming up with another friend who shared the same mindset would make us an even stronger match. At first it was just small conversations here and there, but it quickly became clear that we all had the same drive to do something bigger than just academics or activities. We tested that through a few small ventures, which showed us how well we worked together and that gave us confidence that we could take on something much larger.
As we spent more time together, we started talking about the struggles we saw around us, especially how so many students were missing out on opportunities simply because they did not have the right personal connections. Watching that happen over and over again was frustrating, and it made us think seriously about how unfair the system was. These casual conversations soon turned into brainstorming sessions, and the more we shared ideas, the more it started to feel like we could build something meaningful.
What started as family and friendship grew into a strong partnership, and that is how Future Find started. From the very beginning, it was never just about starting a business, It was about solving a problem that we had seen firsthand and creating something that could make a real impact for students everywhere around the world.

Have you ever had to pivot?
In the beginning, Future Find actually started with four co-founders. As we grew deeper into building the app and scaling at a consistent pace, we faced a tough moment when we had to part ways with our fourth co-founder because we had significantly differing perspectives. It was not an easy decision, and it slowed us down since we had to completely revamp major parts of the app and adjust how we worked as a team. At first it felt like a setback, but ultimately it pushed us to grow. In the middle of all that frustration, we came together as co-founders and learned to rely on each other more than ever. We learned how to adapt, stay resilient, and keep moving forward even when things did not go as planned. Looking back, this experience serves as a great example of how challenges can shape you into stronger leaders and remind you that progress often comes through persistence. Everything happens for a reason, and we now see this as one of the best things that could have happened for our growth. Fast forward to today, we have an awesome team: our personalized designer, Reeva Mehta; our marketing team, Kabir Vonkarey, Aashay Miryala, Moh Jalundwala, Tavish Lakkapragda, Adeep Gowreddy, and Iniyan Kalyankumar; our financial manager, Yashas Karnati; and many more extraordinary individuals who have and will continue to contribute significantly. Future Find now has thousands of users on our app, along with hundreds of company partnerships, and this is only the beginning of what is to come.
