We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Fu Krazy a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Fu, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
I have always been a lover of music. When I was a kid, I used to love playing drums, and I would make beats by hitting the top of my desk at school. I got into poetry because I loved putting words together and rhyming. I eventually transitioned to songwriting a couple of years later, but I never took making music seriously until 2021, and I have never looked back.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m Clarkson Nana Kwame Ofori Adjei, but I go by the stage name Fu Krazy. I started taking making music seriously in 2021, and it’s been uphill since then. I have been nominated for various awards, my music has been streamed thousands of times across the world, and I have records with Rick Ross and Sean Kingston. I have also charted several times on the Shazam charts both in the US and abroad. I am very proud of the progress I have made in 3 years. I’m currently working on an EP to be released this year, so I’m very excited for that.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
