From Birth To Death (band name) , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
We both have shared a passion for music since we were very young, and started playing our respective instruments early on in our childhoods.
We have always had similar tastes and influences for music as well, being heavily inspired by the genres of metal and rock.
We have always tried to push the boundaries of our instruments and our music, experimenting with different sounds, styles, and techniques. We have gone on to refine our sound and continue to collaborate together on new music.
Our shared love of music has brought us closer as friends and musicians over the years. We both enjoy jamming together and playing shows for audiences that appreciate our style. We look forward to continuing to make music together for many years to come.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
From Birth To Death is a heavy metal duo consisting of Devin John and Brandon Lee, out of Bay City, MI. Combining elements of heavy, thrash, and groove metal, they are able to bring an immense sound that captivates audiences across the metal scene.
Devin and Brandon were long acquainted with one another, and eventually discovered that they were both musicians who shared a passion for metal music. With Devin on drums and Brandon on guitar, the two formed From Birth To Death.
While being strictly a duo wasn’t what they initially envisioned, Devin’s ability to sing and play the drums simultaneously, combined with Brandon’s limitless capability on the guitar, the pair were able to accomplish a unique feat. While opening for well-known acts such as Soulfly, Powerman 5000, Saliva, Flotsam and Jetsam, Hammerfall, and other big names of the metal genre, despite only being a two-piece band, the duo succeed in bringing out a full sound and putting on exciting and energetic shows, showing that From Birth To Death was truly an extraordinarily talented act.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
We understand that while our particular style of music may not be as popular or sought after as it once was, there is still a demand for it among fans of the genre as a whole.
We’ve made it our mission to provide metal fans with something new and exciting – something that captures the spirit of our genre while still being something that no one has heard before. We’re dedicated to our craft and passionate about giving fans an experience they won’t forget. From blistering guitar solos to thunderous drums, we promise a powerful show every time we hit the stage! So come join us as we continue to create music that will be remembered for years to come.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
We have always taken pride in providing fans a sound that they love while also giving them something new.
Knowing what we are passionate about in life, and being able to bring that to fruition and perform at the level we do is something that definitely gives a sense of fulfillment.
For us, simply being in a position where we are able to do this in general, is one of the most rewarding aspects of being an artist.
