We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Franzy Staedter a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Franzy , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Are you able to earn a full-time living from your creative work? If so, can you walk us through your journey and how you made it happen?
I am fortunate that I have been a full time artist for over 11 years. And the last 5 years, I have especially been pinpointing the successful actions that strengthened my virtual styling company, StaedterStyle, which is expanding year after year.
And what that looks like is putting together internal structure as well as adding a group of administrative personnel to my team. The first position filled was someone to help me with the promotion and marketing of my stylist services. I made myself known on the different mediums so that people would become more aware of the unique and luxurious services that my agency is offering. You could be excellent at your profession, but if people don’t know you then you won’t get anywhere fast.
Another objective I accomplished was getting someone to help me service my clients. Clients should always be the top priority. At Staedterstyle, we take a lot of care to follow up with them and be reliable to ensure they are getting the wardrobe that they want and help them achieve the results that they are looking for. Everybody is unique and has their own style, it is not my job to force a trend on them, but help them to improve and enhance the style which fits their personality.
The key thing that sets StaedterStyle apart from other stylists, is that we mix the art of styling with business organization. It takes an exact set of steps to get an exact product in the end. I have created a workable procedure and a winning product. Included in that, was hiring a team of people to help me service all my clients and find executives to expand my business even more. There is a lot of teamwork that takes place behind the scenes, and I am so grateful for the expansion and flow they make happen!

Franzy , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I started to have a passion for fashion at about 8 years old and I took a deeper interest in it at 12. Throughout my teenage years, I spent a lot of time finding clothes and doing my own styling and fitting sessions. I eventually discovered the profession as a “stylist” in my 20’s and have been at it ever since, which is over 12 years ago. It was a decision I made and ended up thriving at because I didn’t let doubts or fear come in and take over. I knew that I could be a successful stylist and kept moving toward that goal.
StaedterStyle is based on all of my experience and successful actions throughout my career as a celebrity stylist. I wanted to make the option of styling accessible to anyone interested in improving their appearance, no matter their location. I knew I had something that I put a lot of hard work into and I wanted everyone to have the opportunity to avail themselves of a team dedicated to getting each client through our styling program.
We offer many services: a wardrobe assessment to help you build a ready-to-go closet, a closet detox to give you a fresh start, a way to discover the right image and style to make you look and feel confident, online shopping personally done for you, virtual styling and fitting sessions to help you find out what fits right for your body type, and tips on how to put outfits together to stand out for your trips, events, and special occasions, all done from the comfort of your own home.
The idea is to bring about a new level of confidence in your style and elevate your wardrobe so that you can have a more successful career, family life and prosperous future.
We are also working on new stuff such as building a StaedterStyle subscription service to launch Q2 of this year and then following that, our very own StaedterStyle school. Feel free to follow along on our social media.
Not a lot of other stylists have the company structure we do, so if you are looking for a relatively quick wardrobe upgrade, a full overhaul, or a lifetime stylist, we can definitely help.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
What really drives me is to help people and empower them to reach a more confident and successful self. Style goals are very personal to each individual which means I gain a true understanding of each client and their uniqueness. Combining that and the art of styling with the business structure of StaedterStyle, will bring about the exact result that each client is looking for. And that makes me personally very happy and proud.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
Quite honestly, it is very rewarding to see clients light up and feel proud of themselves while going through each step. Style and Image is a pain point for many, so to alleviate it and to make it better is very rewarding.
They decided to make a change, which I think is applaudable as a first step and then reaching out to me and deciding that I can be trusted to help them is a big leap.
For example, this is the type of response we get from our clients week after week: “Franzy has created such a deep change in the way I view clothing and myself – working with her has had a positive impact on my confidence in every sphere and enhanced my ability to live life joyfully.”
That alone makes all the difference in showing up everyday and helping my clients. My purpose as an artist is to raise people up so they can accomplish more of their own goals and have continued expansion in their own personal lives.
