We were lucky to catch up with Frantz Farnolle recently and have shared our conversation below.
Frantz, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. One of our favorite things to hear about is stories around the nicest thing someone has done for someone else – what’s the nicest thing someone has ever done for you?
I won’t delve into specifics, but the most meaningful gesture people can make for me as an creative artist is to recommend me for work. Their support and belief in my work are incredibly heartening and play a crucial role in my career. It means the world to me when someone takes the time to advocate for my skills and artistry.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My name is Frantz and my artist name is “Face”. I’m the creator of Vesta Klozet name after my mother. It is an artistic clothing brand, most pieces are upcycled and unique or hand painted. their all tells a story of sustainability and creativity. With an ethos that celebrates both positivity and individuality, the brand weaves messages like ‘Flower to the people’—an ode to cherishing moments—and ‘She will change the world’ alongside the raw authenticity of ‘I’m not Hollywood, I’m Brooklyn.’ Through its creations, Vesta Klozet not only adorns but also inspires towards a greener tomorrow.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
I started creating in 2012-13, and in 2017, my mission was to change the world. I co-founded a boutique that showcased independent Black designers.
What started off with a couple designers, led to providing a platform for over 50 up and coming designers, this led to my passion to support entrepreneurs like me to develop their brand.
After five years of running the boutique, I started having frequent panic attacks, leading to multiple ER visits, and loosing my abilty to walk , I wasn’t sure I’d make it through. Realizing I needed to prioritize my health, I made the hard decision to step away from the business.
I began therapy and focused on my well-being, which allowed me to shift my attention to myself.
Anytime I have an opportunity to share my journey to inspire other entrepreneurs, I advise them to believe in themselves and don’t get discouraged when times get difficult. “Only you have the answer for you”.
It’s now been a year since that turning point and the transformation has been amazing. Currently, I consult for new entrepreneurs and brands on strategyI. I launched my own clothing line, Vesta Klozet, named after my mother and some of my creations are now carried in several stores in NYC.
Most recently, I designed the hero piece for a new Spike Lee spot for Brooklyn Brewery’s global campaign that debuted in the UK with my Brooklyn-inspired , “I’m not Hollywood, I’m Brooklyn.”
Even though there were times I wanted to give up, pushing through the challenges has brought me to a place of fulfillment and Happiness. And this is just the beginning

How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?
The best way to support Artist is very simple.
when you buy their creation and happen to like it spread the word. Let the world know mwho and where you got it from.
