FRANK80, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
I kinda figured it out early on—I don’t know. All my life, my name weighed heavy, and expectations of me were higher than ever. I never saw myself working a corporate job; but, I have always seen myself as a successful creative businessman. Music has been in my life since I was first born, and throughout the years I’ve learned a lot in the industry that is still relevant in this climate.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I got into the industry for my passion and creative innovation—music is a generational media that has been around for years and has influenced the culture and what it represents not only to black society; but it’s a worldwide spread, depending on your genre. I feel like lately, I’ve been making less secular music. I feel like something is missing where we lack total motivation, happiness and support for the arts, and for each other. I want the listener of my art to know, and understand that you can walk a path that’s righteous for yourself; not everyone’s journey is their’s—no matter what, not to feel alone. We lack some sort of enlightenment, and the frequencies we listen to, depreciates the knowledge what we can obtain.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
Lately I’ve been learning to not dwell on the past so much. I’ve been on probation for 2 1/2 years, doing music for 10, and I’ve seen a lot of great benefits of my career and also seen a lot of pitfalls and failures in my life. The most recent failure I can’t say it was when I was about to get signed to Atlantic Records around 2021; but, the deal didn’t fall through because the creative differences. Not everyone is willing to trust you and your creative process. and the dwelling turns into energy that I didn’t need and it translated it to who I’ve had around me. Lately, I haven’t felt any happier. I decided to take the time and strategize and rethink my plans for the next upcoming year, lay in a production space, and come out with the best music for next year with new artists I’m tending to manage as well.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
I had to learn to say no. And this industry where anything can be taken away from you and the blink of an eye, you have to know yourself and know you’re worth and value in order for you to see yourself grow in elevate as a person. There will be people that will be around because they want what you have or seek the talent that they don’t have for themselves. You said your own prices & your own values; Trust yourself first, before you could trust anyone else. I never really learned to sit down on one place just learn one activity. I have multiple skills under my belt that I choose to maneuver through, and it helps me in my favor.
