Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Frank Arnold. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Frank, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?

Just deciding to become an artist was a huge, life changing risk, the biggest of all, coming to Cabo and building a studio, gallery and home. We are told our whole young life to do well in school so we can earn a living. I felt an internal push to do art and a bigger push to make it my life . I didn’t understand the idea of finding myself when I was younger, but came to realize the meaning of that concept. So many people would be happier if they could discover in their own self what I have discovered within me.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I am an abstract/figurative artist living in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico. My home, studio and gallery are all in one location. My story, what I call “The Story of 8”, began as a mystery and became my life path. It reaches back to my childhood, to a point of self-realization. At the age of 8, I found out I was adopted. The shock of this discovery left me feeling alone. At that young age, I made a deal with myself to be self-sufficient. I was lost, and yet, I found myself with the number 8, unlocking my creative imagination through art. As an artist my work has come to reflect this commitment. I tell people who see my work and ask for the meaning, ‘If you really see my art, you will see yourself and from there you may see life itself.’ The number 8 is present in each piece I create. It is my connection to my work… 8 is Me.”

Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?

The book, *“Unlocked,” that I co-authored with Dr. Jim Manganiello, lead to my realization of my deeper mind and the source of my creative expression.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?

It is my personal mission, through my art, to turn on the lights in the human soul.
