We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Francisco Diaz a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Francisco , thanks for joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
I am originally from Mexico City, Mexico. I was brought to the United States when I was just three years old, but thanks to the diligence of my parents I have been fortunate enough to have retained and built upon the rich heritage of both of my home countries. I have always been a dreamer, and as the child of immigrant parents, pursuing the American Dream has been in my DNA from day 1.
It was never a discussion about IF I was going to start my own business, but WHEN. My pursuit of interior design and staging started at an early age, moving the furniture in my family home around when my parents would go out of town so that they would be surprised by the new configuration upon their return. Casa Bella is the realization of that original experimentation with design!

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My fascination with real estate began at an early age, as evidenced by my affinity for browsing listing booklets at the grocery store and constantly rearranging my family home. Although I entered the medical field as an adult, I continued to serve as a trusted design advisor for friends and family, ensuring my off-hours were filled with furniture shopping trips and decorating projects. In 2020, I received my certification as a Staging Design Professional™and began diagnosing design dilemmas for investors, realtors, and homeowners through Casa Bella Staging + Design. When I’m not staging a property for sale, or working on an interior design project, I’m most likely to be found putting the finishing touches on my own Dallas home.
Unlike other staging companies who care little for design, Casa Bella marries design with staging to allow for a more unique approach to the home staging process. Pulling from my background in the medical field has led me to a proven formula to diagnose even the most challenging of design dilemmas. This formula of diagnosis, prescription, and treatment allows for a seamless process that benefits our clients and makes this sometimes stressful process much more enjoyable.
Recently we staged a home for HGTV! Which is a huge accomplishment
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
We believe that reputations have to be earned and that actions speak louder than words. Our goal at Casa Bella is to provide the same level of consistent luxury level service to every house we have the opportunity to stage or design. By providing this level of service from the sales process through the execution of each product we work to demonstrate to our clients that each of them truly matter. We are so thankful that each of our clients is willing to pass our information along to their colleagues, friends, and clients and look forward to continuing our growth in 2022!

Have you ever had to pivot?
Covid-19 was a pivotal time in the beginnings of Casa Bella. Having worked in the clinical side of the medical field for the previous 14 years, making the transition to design was something I had always dreamt about and dabbled in, but had never jumped into full time. This moment in history proved to be exactly the motivation that I needed to finally make the leap into my true passion and I pursued Casa Bella in my free time for six months prior to finally moving to full time in the spring of 2021. Seeing the benefits of pursuing my true passion, albeit hard work and lots of hours, has been incredibly rewarding and I haven’t looked back since!
