We recently connected with Francineth Morones and have shared our conversation below.
Francineth, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We love heartwarming stories – do you have a heartwarming story from your career to share?
It is important to look back in time sometimes.

Francineth, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Francineth Morones and I have worked in the beauty industry for years now. I always felt the desire to help people around me however I could, and then I knew that there is nothing that makes someone feel better than making a person feel worthy, fearless, and outstanding. If you give a women or a man a sense of confident by giving them beauty then you are boosting their self-esteem. Also, there is not a better proof of self love than a moment that is dedicated only to yourself.
That is how I immediately after I graduated with my license as an Esthetician I started teaching classes in the same institute I graduated from, then I worked in a spa as an esthetician and at the same time I dictated courses in that same spa. After that I knew I wanted more so I open a space at my home to start having my own clients. Today Iown an accredited school that gives license to those who wants to become esthetician, I also dictate specialization courses and I own my spa to continue providing different services to women and man.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
When I immigrated to United States, I started in New York City working as a maid in a company that gives concerts, cleaning floors, and restrooms. When one of the coworkers of the company realized that I didn’t have a legal status that allowed me to work she managed to have them fired me. Thankfully after this happened I found another job as a secretary in an agency, I worked there for about two months before the agency went bankrupt. That is when I found myself without a job, money, savings and now pregnant.
By that moment I lived in an apartment with a roommate, but when I couldn’t continue to pay the rent she asked me to leave the apartment because she needed someone who could pay rent. Now I was alone, and homeless. I spend the next couple of months living in different houses thanks to the kindness of the people I met everyday. With the coins I found or begged on the streets I would buy the newspaper to find a new job. But because of my situation it was very hard, without a work permit, pregnant, alone and without a residency address.
I gave birth to my first daughter, now I was a single mom, without money, or a home. And something I found later was that my daughter has autism level 3. But I never lost hope, I knew I was going to have a good life after that.
Somehow after I gave birth everything started to change. I found a decent job that even thought it didn’t pay me as much, it would allow me to create connections, and most important it allow me to escaped from that dark moments that lasted a year.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
My strategy has always been to be myself and to treat each client as if my entire income depends on her/him. I am a strong believer that nothing happens as a coincidence, and I believe that every connection we make has a meaning. Either to teach us something or to teach that person something. Every client that I have becomes my friend.
