We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Franchesca Finds a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Franchesca, appreciate you joining us today. Can you share a customer success story with us?
The best thing about the cosmetic tattoo industry is seeing my clients and students gain confidence. I do free eyebrow giveaways on our social media for breast cancer awareness month. I am tearing up at the thought of their reactions when she looked in the mirror after. It is so rewarding.
I have also been teaching for six years. I have seen students go from living in their car with their kids to making six figures.
I really feel blessed and so grateful to be a part of the process.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Franchesca, your brow bestie. I am the proud owner of 3D Beauty Clinic and founder of 3D Microblading® Eyebrows in Orange, CA. I grew up in a salon, my parents in the industry for 40 years before retirement. As a survivor of over plucking in the 90s I became obsessed with eyebrows. I have been doing cosmetic tattoo for almost ten years. I have also developed a fun educational program and now have a facility where I get to home some amazing, talented artist. Eyebrows are my specialty. I work with beautiful clients from 18 to 80. I love highlighting their natural, beautiful features.
Social media helped me grow my business tremendously and I now have over 200,000 awesome supporters on Instagram and 3,000 happy clients. I am a very lucky girl!
How did you build your audience on social media?
I always say I am lucky to have lived in a time where I had a normal childhood, playing outside until the street light came on, but also reap the benefits of social media. Because of our social media we were approached by Emmy award winning producers from CBS to do a feature about surviving the Covid shut downs and being a first generation, woman owned business. It is really cool to have random people tell me they recognize. me from CBS or social media.
I used to let social media stress me out but now I have fun with it. In turn our social media grew, clients tell me they love it daily and I started helping other small business owners with their social media with my latest venture @MyContentQueen. I have found helping create brands and online presence for fellow small businesses owners has been a fun way to be creative and support local businesses. I’ve worked with gym owners, people in the beauty industry and all sorts of entrepreneurs. My clients all love the fact that creating content can actually be fun! My biggest piece of advice is have a clear game plan and be yourself.
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
Instagram and word of mouth are definitely the most affective for the beauty industry in my onion. Clients love incentives. Give discounts for referrals and social media giveaways. It pays off!
