Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Francesca Villa. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Francesca, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear your thoughts about making remote work effective.
Yes, we still work remotely 3 days a week. I believe that constant communication and collaboration between the design team makes remote work possible. In my opinion, remote work creates trust between the team and allows you to build a flexible workspace. I think it creates a better life balance because you don’t waste time commuting, which also reduces costs. This gives the team independence, which is essential for me since I am not American and travel several times a year to visit my family..
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I am a package graphic designer who specializes in creating eye-catching and innovative designs for a variety of products. I got into the industry after finishing my degree at the savannah college of art and design. I gain some experience at an advertising agency as a design intern. Doing some freelance for a small agency in Mexico City and Completing. graduate internship at pearl fisher NYC.
I work with a wide range of products, including food and beverage packaging, beauty and skincare products, retail packaging, and more. My goal is to create packaging designs that not only look great but also effectively communicate the brand’s message and resonate with consumers.
What sets me apart from other package graphic designers is my attention to detail. I take the time to understand my clients’ needs and vision, and I work closely with them to bring their ideas to life in a unique and impactful way. I am most proud of the positive feedback and success stories from my clients. Seeing how my designs have helped them achieve their goals and stand out in the market is incredibly rewarding.
I would like everyone to know that I am dedicated to providing exceptional service and creating designs that not only meet their expectations but exceed them. I am passionate about what I do, and I am always looking for new and exciting projects to take on.
Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
Yes I would definitively would like to get a better understanding of design communities and forums: Websites like Behance, Dribbble, and Adobe Creative Cloud provide opportunities to showcase your work, get feedback from other designers, and stay updated on trends in the industry. Also that there are a lot offree design conferences and workshops that can offer valuable networking opportunities and insights into the latest trends in graphic design.
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
I think the main source of new clients is even the network I made during university. Other students saw my work and the way I worked, so clients contacted me saying that someone from school had recommended me as a graphic designer..
