We were lucky to catch up with Franceasca Seiden recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Franceasca thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
I’ve been fortunate to work on meaningful projects throughout my career. For me, the most personally significant endeavors have been those that I co-founded. One such project was 3GZ Productions in Miami, a small production house focused on film, music videos, and art and music events. Our documentary, “DarkBeat: An Electro Voyage,” was the most extensive and successful doc we produced, directed, and cut (directed and edited by Iris Beatrix). I also had the opportunity to freelance as a concert photographer and writer, which led me to produce a four-day independent art and music sub-satellite fair with some of Miami’s finest. The event highlighted only Miami filmmakers, painters, writers, poets, photographers, DJs, and musicians for Art Basel Miami Beach. It was a challenging project, as eight of us produced three fundraising events and a four-day Basel event without a budget and had to do major construction to get the warehouse gallery-ready. But it was also one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. These projects were born of my passion for multimedia art, especially film, writing, and music, and my exploration of the intersection between creativity and the power of healing.
My journey has been quite diverse, as I’ve had the chance to write and produce various content on-air and online. I even led a small team in creative services, where I worked with executives to ensure everything was up to par. My experience working with large corporations with big budgets and assertive timelines has also been invaluable, especially during my time at FX Networks and Current TV.
Between studio and indie gigs, I worked as a press member for several magazines covering art and music events in Los Angeles. This led me to create LAiCREATIVES – a digital magazine and marketing agency that interviews multimedia artists, provides artist representation, and offers curatorial assistance. This venture solidified my place in the creative community here in LA, although it’s not my only project. Seeking to heal my traumas, I found people, usually strangers, gravitating to me for guidance. It was suggested to me to create a space for others, and after 120 days of meditation, I founded SAHA (Sexual Alchemy Healing Arts) to help transmute trauma into power. I use healing modalities, intuitive guidance, yoga therapy, energy healing, sound baths, and re-birthing breathwork to help others on their healing paths. These projects were born from my passion for the creative arts and my exploration of the intersection between art and healing. It’s been a transformative journey that began with fine art photography and evolved into filmmaking, event production, and curating.

Franceasca, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I graduated with a BFA in fine art photography and began my career in museums and galleries, showcasing my work in group exhibitions. An exciting shift occurred when a producer in LA noticed my photographs’ film-like quality, sparking my interest in filmmaking. Pursuing an MFA, I honed my skills in writing, directing, and producing shorts while working on various film projects. My initial success inspired this transition into filmmaking in photography, where I gained recognition for my film-like aesthetics.
It was during this time that I discovered my storytelling talent. My creative journey expanded further with the co-founding of 3GZ Productions, where we specialized in music documentaries, BTS for musicians and concerts, art and music festivals, and multimedia events. Our award-winning documentary, “Darkbeat: An Electro Voyage,” explored the history of electro music globally.
Upon moving to LA in 2008, I delved into narrative filmmaking, gaining insights freelancing at various studios then landing as a writer/producer in creative services at FX Networks and Current TV. These experiences solidified my dedication to the arts and fueled my passion for creative storytelling.
Eventually, this led me to establish LAiCREATIVES, I immersed myself in LA’s vibrant art scene, collaborating with galleries, artists, art fairs, coverage as press, and curating shows. A few years later, I launched the “S*x, Magick, and Dessert” podcast, delving deeper into creative exploration. I continue interviewing, marketing, packaging, consulting, and curating artists, galleries, and events under Alchemystic Arts (LAiCREATIVES).
My spiritual journey and creative endeavors have always been intertwined. I was introduced to the metaphysical and occult arts early in life. I became an avid yogi student at nineteen and was certified by twenty-five, which I taught between projects. Then, at twenty-nine, I discovered Modern Day Buddhism. However, during burnout and the emergence of the #metoo movement, I was drawn back into the healing arts.
I embarked on an incredible journey of self-discovery amid the fast-paced creative world. Amidst the chaos, I found solace in my spiritual roots. I started with sound healing, incorporating crystal bowls and meditation. My love for sound healing grew, and I began incorporating rituals, ceremonies, and intuitive guidance. This led to the birth of SAHA – a platform dedicated to alternative healing art modalities, intuitive guidance, and “transforming trauma into power” for people of all genders and identities. This fusion of creativity and healing arts has been transformative, allowing me to contribute positively to the lives of others.
My path led me to conduct SAHA workshops in LA, San Francisco, New York, Chicago, and Miami. Eventually, I lived in a Yoga-based Ashram in San Francisco, where I embarked on an unexpected therapeutic journey through Re-birthing Breathwork. I eagerly immersed myself in a comprehensive 25-hour-a-week program while living within the nurturing community of the ashram. This program encompassed teaching yoga, reacquainting myself with the fundamentals of yoga, engaging in the daily rituals of morning and evening Agnihotra (a practice that includes a fire ceremony) and meditation, participating in Satsang, deepening my understanding of Karma Yoga, delving into Sanskrit classes, and more.
After 18 months of embracing this humble yet spiritually enriching lifestyle, I received a unique opportunity from an LA-based exhibition. They were bringing their three-day art and health exhibit and event to San Francisco, and I was invited to assist in producing, curating, and marketing this event at one of the city’s oldest and most prestigious galleries. The experience ignited my creative fire; I yearned for the vibrant art community of Los Angeles, which ultimately solidified my decision to return to LA.
Back in LA, I continued my creative exploration with renewed passion. It’s been an incredible experience to see my work’s impact on others’ lives. Through SAHA, I continue to offer private sessions to individuals and facilitate energy work and intuitive guidance at local places like Liberate Emporium and Liberate Yourself. In retrospect, each project on my journey contributed significantly to my growth as both a creative and a healer, shaping my distinctive perspective on art and its profound transformative power.

Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can provide some insight – you never know who might benefit from the enlightenment.
Indeed, the creative journey is often perceived as non-linear and unpredictable, which may be challenging for those outside the creative sphere to comprehend fully. Creatives embrace change and adapt to life’s unexpected twists, understanding that sometimes the universe guides them in unforeseen directions. Patience is a fundamental virtue in this process, and it’s perfectly acceptable to take breaks, reset, and rest without feeling unproductive.
Embracing the ebb and flow, the unknown, and learning to trust the universe is a unique aspect of the creative journey.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
A profound lesson I had to unlearn was the concept of manifestation, realizing that I could manifest what I desired and didn’t want equally—managing my thoughts and redacting the power and time I give them, which can lead to obsessive looping. Patience became a valuable teacher, showing that desired results often require time. Another significant lesson was gracefully letting go of certain things and people, understanding that it’s for personal health, growth, and peace.
These lessons underscored the importance of rest and self-compassion, dispelling the misconception that constant activity equals success. In many situations, the “why” doesn’t matter, and acceptance and integration are the keys to happiness. Sometimes, the backstory is inconsequential.
