We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Fradin Louis a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Fradin, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?
The most important quality for success in my opinion is having an undying will. If you lack the talent, the creativity, or even the creativity that others possess, you could will yourself to success by simply going the extra mile that others aren’t willing to do.
It’ll fuel you when you’re exhausted, it’ll empower you in the face of failure & adversity, and it’ll shield you from complacency. I’ve dealt with all of these numerous on my journey, and that intense desire has & continues to allow me to overcome said obstacles. obstacles
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My name’s Fradin Louis. Some may know me as Cool Hands. I’m a Content Creator/Photographer/Filmmaker.
I run two social media-based companies (@wm20s & @brunchxbros) with some of my good friends, and I also create conceptual photo/video shoots for my personal business.
I’m most proud of the network that I’ve built. It’s an absolute joy & privilege that they trust my vision, because I work with some bright & talented individuals,. This is apparent in manner in which both companies respectively, are able to bring people from varying backgrounds and perspectives together. There’s a beauty in that like no other!
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
The fact that I, as an individual or a member of a group, bring value to anything I attach myself to. It’s imperative that people understand that about you. Though it can’t be conveyed in a performatively. This may take some time, even when to you it seems apparent. In due time, it’ll all be clear.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
My journey with @wm20s has seen us pivot multiple times. Initially we’ve shifted focus from short skits & photography, to music performances & interviews, to live streaming. We’ve seen the core members grow, then shrink. All of it has taught me, and none of it has been easy. If I had to choose one lesson, it’d be that you can’t control what’s beyond your control. Just hold fast to your essence, then build with the blocks that life hands you.
