My father, despite facing significant physical challenges due to Rheumatoid Arthritis, instilled in me essential life lessons. From a young age, he taught me the importance of honesty, the value of hard work, and the need to surround myself with positive influences.
When I was just 9 or 10 years old, I began assisting my father in selling socks, gloves, and hats on the streets of Kote Sangi in Kabul, Afghanistan. This early experience taught me the significance of diligence and responsibility. As my father’s health worsened, he transitioned to selling bakery products, and my role in supporting our family grew more critical. His determination and unwavering work ethic had a profound impact on me, shaping my own approach to overcoming challenges and pursuing my goals.
Allowing me to step up and contribute to our family’s income was a formative experience. It instilled in me a strong work ethic and a sense of responsibility that has guided me throughout my life and career.
