We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Flynn Hendrix . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Flynn below.
Alright, Flynn thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you share an important lesson you learned in a prior job that’s helped you in your career afterwards?
The most important lesson I’ve learned from a job is putting value in yourself, defending it, & realizing that the best you have to give at that time is more than enough even if someone tells you otherwise. I learned this the hard way. I’m guilty of having a perfectionist mentality, even to my own detriment. This was not healthy in an environment where you’re told “you’re best is good…but you can always do better.” It was phrased as “positive discontent.” This was horrible for mental health, because at multiple times I was either the top Rep & Management trainer, 2nd overall sales rep in the company for the fiscal year & the top sales rep at my location, but this was never enough for management. It was never praised, nor was it really acknowledged or encouraged. Instead, it got my name pulled from management interviews with no explanation. It added stress that I couldn’t leave at the door, and it made me a miserable person.
I did not want this to be brought home to my family. After a lot of stressing, discussing with my wife & godmother & people I trusted, I gave notice. This taught me to value myself & my efforts, and that money isn’t everything. I’ve also carried this into creative endeavors in the acting, wrestling & podcasting worlds. It’s helped me pick up on these signs coming from peers, clients or superiors, and has given me the confidence to address it, and if it can’t be corrected, remove myself from the situation.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My name is Flynn Hendrix. I’m a Nashville native that became a professional wrestler, actor and podcaster. I tend to be a quiet, introverted person in my everyday life, where I’ll speak if I have something of value to say; but performing as a villain in the wrestling world & bringing multiple characters to life as an actor has given me a chance to break out of my shell, entertain and most times get the loudest reactions of the night.
I’m most proud of appearing multiple times on WWE television in 2022, being cast in an Amazon shortly after. As an actor, I’m most proud of getting to learn from and impress acting coaches that are people I grew up on as a fan. These were people who inspired me to want to be an actor so these are very strong sentimental accomplishments for me.
The biggest thing that sets me apart, and benefits not only clients, peers & fans is that I’m somewhat of a utility player and I come with an attitude of how I can help & make this exceed their expectations. What I mean by “utility player” is that I can fit in and excel wherever I am needed and I’ll do it with an attitude of service and learning as I go. For my fans, I’m very big on being in the moment to make the moment special for them.
I’m also big on charity, specifically St. Jude & the Nashville Humane Association. I make monthly donations to both, which includes portions of my Flynn Hendrix merchandise sales. This has been big in showing fans that even though I play a villain on stage, I want them to have memorable experiences and know that if they’re supporting me, they’re also supporting great causes.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
The biggest thing that drives me is the desire to provide for my family with things I’m passionate about. But in saying that, the most important thing is setting an example for my sons to follow their dreams no matter how big they are and inspiring others to follow their dreams like my favorite entertainers did for me,

How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?
The biggest thing society can do is just support. Whether financially or sharing posts on social media, it all helps! We’re all quick to promote celebrities and big corporations, why aren’t we doing it for our friends, family & peers? That support could very well be life changing and often times, way cheaper than what you’re willing to pay these companies and celebrities we don’t even know.
