Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Fly Navarro. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Fly, thanks for joining us today. Being a business owner can be really hard sometimes. It’s rewarding, but most business owners we’ve spoken sometimes think about what it would have been like to have had a regular job instead. Have you ever wondered that yourself? Maybe you can talk to us about a time when you felt this way?
I absolutely love being a business owner. I love the freedom, I love having the choices, I love having the ability to control my own destiny. At the same time it is the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life. The feeling of not knowing, the lack of security, And the feeling that the next step you take, could be catastrophic. Yet, I wouldn’t change it for anything in the world. Coming from the background of fishing and being a boat captain you always had people look up to you. Sailing out on adventures to chase after some of the biggest fish in the world and everybody is looking at you to make the right decisions. that right there is the biggest similarity that I feel being a business owner. There are so many lives and families that are looking at you to make the proper decision. I do not sit and wonder what it would be like to have a regular job as I live on the thrill of not knowing what to expect every single day. I love all my projects, and all the people I come in contact with. For me, one of the greatest things of being a business owner is meeting, so many wonderful people in this world that are trying to achieve their goals in life.
Fly, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

How’d you meet your business partner?
One of my business partners lives in Okinawa, Japan, where one of my branch offices are located. I met him while I was in Japan getting ready to recruit social media influencers in the fishing industry to fish my tournament in Saudi Arabia. I was flying to Tokyo in February 2020 when I posted a picture on social media getting ready to board the plane from Dallas Fort Worth to Tokyo Japan mentioning my future destination. While I was in-flight, my future business partner sent me a message asking how long I was going to be in Japan And inviting me to come down to Okinawa to come fish with him. I mentioned to him that I would be bouncing around from Tokyo to Osaka for the Osaka Fish Trade Show and then later on to Beijing China to attend China Fish Trade. I think him and politely declined his offer as I was not going to have time to make it to Okinawa. Then, as everybody in the world remembers March 20 20 came, and the borders of China were closed. I would not be traveling to Beijing, and now had five days to fill off my trip. Trip at which point I called my future business partner and asked if that invitation was still open to go fishing. The very next morning I jumped on a flight to go to Okinawa, and I spent five days fishing and discussing the history and great potential that Sportfishing has to offer. We stayed in touch throughout the pandemic, and I helped him make connections in the fishing, manufacture world to help keep his Tackle Shop full in Okinawa.
One day he reached out to me asking me if I had seen a particular product at which point I mentioned that I knew the owner of that company. I reached out to the owner of the company and saw if he had a military contract to sell his products. And at that point, we decided to launch one of my companies Kraken Logistical Solutions. KLS now, supplies, food, and beverage, along with hosting events at different militaries bases around the world.
