FLOWBOY, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
the most meaningful project ive worked on is a EP called stranger in my own hood. Its special because,It kinda tells the story of what my neighborhood was like after becoming successful and coming back to pay it forward.

FLOWBOY, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
The story behind FlowBoyDuce’s critically acclaimed 2022 EP Stranger In My Own Hood began long before the Bronx, New York native could even fathom a career as an artist. While he has always been around music, his company Flow Time Entertainment was born out of his love, passion and talent for dance. After studying through his later middle school years, Duce was assisting his teachers by the age of 12. “At the time, I didn’t really see rapping as an option,” he recalls. “But I studied artists like Jay-Z and I was always inspired by the way dope sonics move people and connect people together. That was something I always wanted to be a part of.”
His first foray into entertainment came in the form of a youth dance crew known as the Flow Boys, at a time when New York City’s “Light Feet Era” was as much a part of the scene as music itself. As he and his crew outgrew that time in their lives, FlowBoyDuce found himself the only one determined to continue pursuing his career in music. So he founded his company, and with the support of a handful of mentors, got busy developing his sound. His early success earned him a strong following on social media, a cosign from legendary DJ Cocoa Chanelle, and the support of blogs including ThisIs50, HipHopWeekly and HipHopSince1987. But it wasn’t until his song “Heartbeats” featuring singer and actor Anthony Grant was placed in the romantic comedy Wingman, Inc. that Duce saw the true potential of his music. Over the course of the next few years, he found regional and eventually even international success thanks to his singles “Bigger Cake” and “Pay For That.” Sadly, he soon found himself in a situation where music simply was no longer enough to pay the bills… which led him back home to his neighborhood in The Bronx. What he saw when he returned – a neighborhood overrun by violent gang culture – inspired Stranger In My Own Hood. It also heightened Duce’s determination to use music to put himself in position to make a broader impact onto the world in a concrete way that extends beyond entertainment.
As fans continue to support Stranger In My Own Hood and the standout single “I Been Here,” FlowBoyDuce is hard at work on his next project Called short dark and handsome He is also hard at work developing songs and projects for other main stream artist. His Flow Time Entertainment imprint under a distribution partnership with SONY/THE ORCHARD. All under the greater goal of bringing that NYC feeling back to his beloved city’s music scene. Not to long ago FLOWBOYDUCE released a EP titled NEW HOFF CITY with only featuring legendary rapper jadakiss. The entire project produced by 8x platinum producer DSTACKZ who’s most known for his hits with grammy nominated artist ABOOGIE & KODAK BLACK amongst others. As of right now FLOWBOYDUCE just release a new single titled FOREVER REMIX sampling the legendary singer LIL MO produced by viral producer DSPARKZ which is starting to make waves in nyc and around the world.

In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives and a thriving creative ecosystem?
Society can best support artist and creatives by not always embracing a product/artist that has fame behind said product or creative. I believe popularity has ruined art to a degree.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
There was a time i paid a person 4k to help me get to the next level in my career and he stole it, and because alot of people was friends with the guy or thought he was a real industry person noone had my back i was demonized for holding him accountable.
