We were lucky to catch up with Floryn Ajuzie recently and have shared our conversation below.
Floryn , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Coming up with the idea is so exciting, but then comes the hard part – executing. Too often the media ignores the execution part and goes from idea to success, skipping over the nitty, gritty details of executing in the early days. We think that’s a disservice both to the entrepreneurs who built something amazing as well as the public who isn’t getting a realistic picture of what it takes to succeed. So, we’d really appreciate if you could open up about your execution story – how did you go from idea to execution?
Perfected By Faith came from the Book of James in the Bible as I was flipping through trying to figure out what I wanted to call my brand that God gave to me in the year 2018, but because I didn’t have enough courage or understanding of what it meant to be an entrepreneur, and what it would take to run a business.
I stayed away from even embracing the opportunity to birth something that had the potential to have an everlasting effect on the lives of many people all over the world
To birth out some thing that was beyond me, and would last for generations to come
So much took place the moment I decided to actually take a step, and a leap of faith.
I found myself always researching, calling, emailing people who didn’t owe me anything but still decided to hop on a call just to help me. When I received my first shipment, then I knew I was in too far deep to turn back now
So I will say that starting is always going to be better than finishing; because when you start some thing you have an opportunity to take steps towards your goal, you really don’t enjoy the process of finishing more than you enjoy the process of starting.
In 2020 during a pandemic, I decided to launch my business and the crazy part of it all was the moment I made the decision to start is when things begin to fall into place. Every single day I made plans, I had meetings, sending emails, to manufacturers up until 2 AM in the morning.
Putting the website together. Working on marketing advertising just to make sure that I could compete with the greats.
I didn’t want this to be a brand that people could emulate or compared to. I wanted my brand to stand out and make a difference; to have a true meaning to this thing called life.
However, I will say as an entrepreneur especially when you’re just starting out you are nothing without your team; your team allows you to bear different types of weights so that you don’t get crushed while holding them up.
I can confidently say the Perfected By Faith is here to stay, and I’m excited for what the future holds.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
When I started this journey with God, I had always wondered about this word called “purpose”. In the beginning, the word “purpose” sounded so mysterious and almost unattainable. I felt even deflated at times because I could not accurately say or describe what my purpose was until one day I heard this pastor online say that “purpose is whatever God places in your hand at the moment”.
I noticed how a lot of clothing brands would make a lot of noise about their products, but often seemed to lack a lasting message behind their items. I decided that I wanted to create clothes with a strategic and intentional message because clothes have the power to shape and alter generations. In each collection, we use cotton luxury fabrics in order to express functionality and versatility. Our modern clothing pieces are easy to transition from day to night due to the layering effects of intermixed textiles.
Perfected By Faith is capturing value by emphasizing the importance of purpose. That is the main thing that I want my clients, followers, fans to know about me and my brand. We are making it known that we are here to fulfill purpose, our God-given purpose, and we capitalize on that by creating thought-provoking and conversational pieces in each collection that continuously revert to purpose.
Perfected By Faith will motivate young adults to live their lives on purpose! The Bible says, “Faith without works is dead” so in order to fulfil your God given calling, you must perfect your faith through your purpose-filled works.

Any advice for managing a team?
My advice for managing a team and maintaining high morale is to establish concrete relationships by meeting your team members where they are while also taking into consideration, all of what they are bringing to the table.
You must let your team members know that you are there to support them. Cheer them on, and help them to understand that we are all in this together.
When somebody takes the position of a leader they have automatically signed up to be a servant as well. You cannot say that you are a leader, and the people that are following you are not even able to have real and sometimes uncomfortable conversations with you you.
You cannot call yourself a leader if you put yourself above the people that you’re leading instead of meeting them at their level and letting them know that you care, you see them, you hear them, and you are there to also learn from them.
One of the great signs of leadership is being able to listen and communicate while also being vulnerable with the people that you’re leading.
I believe this is the most practical way to maintain high morale when managing a team, because what comes from the heart reaches the heart.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
So many parts of my journey in this life have demonstrated my resiliency. One that sticks out in particular is when I decided to actually launch my business (PBF) back in 2020.
Many obstacles were in the way even though yes everything ended up working out seamlessly, but I cannot deny the fact that I really needed the strength of God to help me and to push through mentally and physically.
When your back is up against the wall and you look to the left, and you look to the right; sometimes no one is in sight to help you. All I could do was look up and call upon the name of Jesus to help me. He made m the rough places in my life smooth. He gave me the strength that I would need to persevere and to push through to another day
Resiliency is all about being resilient. When you resist the things and people that try to resist you in this life, then you can count yourself to be an overcomer. To be resilient means to refusing to be distracted from your purpose.
