Alright, Flory thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to go back in time and hear the story of how you came up with the name of your brand?
My company is
A Wakened Events (AWE). Who doesn’t want to live IN AWE??
We conduct seminars and retreats
that combine business acumen and productivity, sales and branding effectiveness, mindfulness, metaphysics and wellness.

Actually asking me about the name of my company is also like asking many of the other questions since ….
– [ ] Our Customer success stories are about growth waking up and transforming their lives.
– [ ] The Story behind the mission involves the name of the company and the concept of being supernatural and waking up to that power.

Flory brings 40 years of experience in professional facilitation and curriculum development as well as 20 years of manifestation work and mentoring, as a foundation for creating AWE (A Wakened Events). This multidisciplinary approach to maximize success and happiness combines ancient wisdom, modern science and proven business, to change lives.
Flory graduated with honors from Iona College, in New Rochelle, NY, with a BA in Mathematics and Computer Science and an MBA in Management Information Systems. Later, she completed advanced doctoral work in Organizational Development at The Stevens Institute of Technology and in Education Administration from Fordham University.

Effectively selling a business means effectively knowing and understanding your business.
It starts with hiring an effective agent (broker-representative-advisor-mentor) and packaging the business so that it is easy to present the value proposition.
Most people understand how to truly run their business when they go to sell because they have to look at each of the four categories involved in running a business to make sure they are organized and running effectively. Those four categories are.
SALES. STAFF. SERVICES. SYSTEMS
Once I looked at each of those categories to ensure I had strategies and success in each, I almost considered keeping the company, because it was then running so much more effectively.
My two reflective advisory comments are the following for anyone selling their business:
– [ ] Manage your day-to-day business, as if you were getting ready to sell it and then you will be ready.
– [ ] Hire an advisor completely aligned with your values and mission.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
My most effective sales strategy also integrates with how I acquire most of my clients….and that is by consistently and methodically offering excellence with more value than expected to existing clients who feel compelled to promote to anyone and everyone who will listen.
I think in the “old days,” it was called organic growth, but combined with social media, it remains one of the most effective strategies.
Everyone is always looking for new clients in new markets, but they overlook new clients from current clients in current markets. Follow a model of excellence in absolutely everything you do and new clients and new markets will be attracted to you in perfect alignment.
