We recently connected with Flortcha Flow and have shared our conversation below.

Flortcha , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. How did you learn to do what you do? Knowing what you know now, what could you have done to speed up your learning process? What skills do you think were most essential? What obstacles stood in the way of learning more?

Bringing a song to life goes so much deeper than just a catchy tune. Working on a project has thought me the importance of working across instead of up. I take those skills into every aspect of my life. Ive been fortunate to travel quite a bit this past year but with that brings the obstacle of finding groups of people with the same mindset.

Flortcha , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

My name is Flortcha Flow, a singer songwriter with a multicultural flare. My music as allowed me to connect with a people from all over the world. One of my most prized possessions is a handmade lanyard from a fan in Germany. My proudest moments as a musician is watching hundreds of videos being made on social immediately with my music.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?

My music is heavily influenced by my personal life. It’s been a dream come true to have so much feedback from the people impacted by my lyrics and my voice. So one of my missions for this year is to have music incorporated into all forms of media including movies, tv shows, and commercials.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?

“Growth is not linear..” As a creative, it’s very easy to get fixated on numbers. The real turning point for me was when it started affecting my ability to create. It’s still something I battle, but I just need to remind myself that my art will probably outlive me and I can’t focus on the immediate feedback in other to bring it to life.
