We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Florencia Sosa. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Florencia below.
Florencia, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to start by getting your thoughts on what you are seeing as some the biggest trends emerging in your industry
As we move into 2025, several global trends are not only dominating the agenda for governments, businesses, and communities but are also at the core of the work I am personally involved in.
Four key trends that I believe will define the future are Artificial Intelligence, longevity, sustainable mining, and climate innovation. These areas are reshaping industries and pushing us to innovate in ways that balance growth, sustainability, and social impact.
Artificial Intelligence
AI continues to be a transformative force, revolutionizing industries by automating processes, enhancing decision-making, and creating more personalized experiences. In my work, I’m exploring how AI can improve efficiency and accessibility, particularly in health and business operations. In 2025, the focus will increasingly shift to ethical AI, ensuring transparency, fairness, and responsible implementation while addressing concerns like job displacement and data privacy.
Longevity
The focus on longevity (extending healthy years, not just lifespan) is influencing industries like healthcare, nutrition, and wellness. I am currently engaged in initiatives that explore preventive care and health innovation, aiming to make these advancements more accessible. The coming years will see a surge in solutions that prioritize quality of life, presenting opportunities for collaboration between governments, businesses, and the tech sector to make these solutions scalable and affordable.
Sustainable Mining
Having been born in Catamarca, one of the world’s most important sources of lithium, I have a personal connection to the mining industry and its potential for global impact. Today, Catamarca plays a central role in the supply of critical minerals for renewable energy and electric vehicles. My team and I are working on sustainability projects that aim to balance the growing demand for lithium with environmental and social responsibility. In 2025, innovations in water-efficient extraction methods and partnerships with local communities will be key to ensuring that mining becomes a sustainable and inclusive industry.
Climate Innovation
Climate change is the defining challenge of our time, and it requires immediate and bold action. I am deeply committed to driving climate innovation, from supporting circular economy models to promoting sustainable production methods. In the near future, we’ll see accelerated adoption of technologies like carbon capture, green hydrogen, and regenerative agriculture. However, the real challenge will be ensuring these solutions are both impactful and inclusive, particularly in underserved regions.
What excites me most about these trends is their interconnectedness. AI can optimize energy consumption, sustainable mining can support longevity technologies, and climate innovation can enhance resource efficiency. As these trends converge, they present opportunities to create a future that is not only more sustainable but also more equitable.
These are not just global agenda items—they are areas I am actively working on, and I am inspired by the potential they hold to transform industries and improve lives. 2025 will undoubtedly be a pivotal year for these trends as we continue to innovate and collaborate toward a better future.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Florencia Sosa, and Im an entrepreneur, angel investor, and advocate for innovation and sustainability. I was born in Argentina,in a region rich in culture and natural resources, including lithium, which has shaped much of my work and vision.
My journey began when I lost my father and, as an only child, took over the family business. This made me, according to Forbes, the youngest CEO in Argentina. That experience transformed my life, teaching me resilience and leadership, and set me on a path to create impact through entrepreneurship.
Today, I focus on technology, sustainability, and social empowerment. As an angel investor, I support startups led by women and underrepresented groups, helping scale innovative solutions. I also lead Andina, a project connecting women artisans in remote communities to global markets.
What sets me apart is my commitment to bridging traditional practices with innovation to solve real-world challenges. My work is driven by purpose and a vision to inspire and empower others. I believe in creating lasting change through collaboration and sustainable solutions, and I’m always excited to connect with those who share this mission.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
The passing of my father was a turning point in my life. As an only child, I had to step into the family business at a very young age, navigating grief while taking on a leadership role. At first, being young and a woman felt like disadvantages, as I faced skepticism and doubt.
However, I soon realized that these challenges could become my strengths. My youth brought fresh ideas, and being a woman allowed me to lead with empathy and collaboration. From the pain of loss, I learned resilience—turning vulnerability into strength and adversity into purpose.
Today, I use those lessons to empower others, invest in innovative ideas, and advocate for women in leadership. That experience taught me that even our hardest moments can lead to profound growth
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Social media has been a powerful tool in amplifying my voice and sharing my journey. Initially, my focus wasn’t on building an audience, but I soon realized it was the perfect platform to communicate my vision and validate my message
What I enjoy most is that it allows me to share different sides of who Im not just as an entrepreneur and investor but also as a young woman who loves traveling and fashion. It’s a space where I can connect authentically with others
My advice? Be yourself, have fun, and focus on your message. Authenticity is what truly builds meaningful connections.
