We recently connected with Flore Lenoir and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Flore, thanks for joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
WHERE FUNCTION MEETS STYLE AND WELL-BEING
Starting my own business came as a natural next step in my journey. I come from a family of doctors and initially pursued studies in psychology for 4 years, driven by a deep curiosity for human behavior and a desire to support others. But along the way, I realized that my true passion lay elsewhere: in creation and design.
I turned to interior architecture, convinced that our surroundings have a powerful impact on our well-being, our relationships, and the way we live. I went back to school, worked in event design, collaborated with major companies across Europe, and eventually launched my own agency.
For ten years in France, I built a practice rooted in functional, sustainable, and human-centered design. Today, I’m bringing that same vision to the U.S.—creating spaces that are not only beautiful, but truly support the lives of the people who inhabit them. My mission is to offer more than just a trend or a style—I want to create thoughtful, functional designs that truly enhance people’s lives.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I approach my work in a way that is truly unique, thanks to my background in social psychology, and I deeply value the integration of these two skills in the creative solutions I provide to my clients. One of the aspects I am most proud of is that, although I follow my own methodology which results in projects with a distinctive artistic touch, I always address my clients’ needs in a way that is entirely individual to each project. There is no repetition—every project brings something new, whether it’s materials or techniques. I also ensure that each project is delivered on time, with a commitment to both its functionality and execution quality.
For me, it’s essential to act as the catalyst for my clients’ ideas. The goal isn’t to impose a vision, but rather to uncover their needs through the project. I’m incredibly proud that, today, people continue to trust me with their projects and return to me time and time again.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Resilience is at the core of my approach—I see every obstacle as an opportunity to push creativity further, stand out, and innovate. In both design and business, constraints are not limitations but catalysts for new ideas. Anticipation is key, and I always have a plan B, C, and D. Whether it’s technic, material challenges, tight deadlines, or team coordination, I navigate the unexpected with ingenuity and determination.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
I deeply believe that space is an extension of our bodies and has a profound impact on our well-being. Statistical studies clearly show that the quality of a workspace directly influences productivity. In a hallway, if the light is placed on the right, most people will naturally walk on that side… In short, I don’t see interior architecture as mere decoration or a superficial enhancement, but as a fundamental support for our lives, interactions, rest, and activities.
The social psychology of space remains my main driving force, which is why listening and engaging with my clients is essential to fulfilling my mission. I don’t apply standardized models—each project is designed to reflect the individuality of every request.
