We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Firas Masri a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Firas , appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear a story from back when you were an intern or apprentice. What’s a memorable story you can share with us?
I worked in my family’s restaurant during high school weekends / college breaks. It taught me the value of hard work and the pleasure of sharing good food with valued guests.,I traveled the world during my career in foreign affairs; however my heart and passion is creating beautiful food. I decided it was time to take the helm and integrate more technology into the menu and social media. We have always received great word of mouth reviews, referrals. I wanted to get the word out about our great quality and showcase our product on a larger format. This has allowed our name and business to gain new guests.
Firas , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My parents started the business in 1997. They came from different corporate backgrounds but their combined knowledge and experience complemented the business. I grew up with entrepreneurs so I guess you can say it was my destiny to continue their mission. My Father ,Sari Masri grew up in the Mediterranean region. He introduced Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food to metro Atlanta before it was a trend. My mother had the business , marketing background.. We use family recipes with a twist. My Dad taught me the importance of fresh produce, simple quality ingredients. Consistency is crucial and the key to our continued success. Customer service with a smile seems so simple but is so important. I enjoy elevating our product to be the best .
