Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Fiona Emley. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Fiona, appreciate you joining us today. If you had a defining moment that you feel really changed the trajectory of your career, we’d love to hear the story and details.
My first gift from the universe came in first grade, when my teacher told my parents, “You need to get her into acting.” I’m forever grateful they listened. Acting gave me a safe place to feel deeply, express emotion, and explore the psychology of relationships and human connection. It truly shaped me.
Later, that foundation naturally evolved into the healing arts. I began working with others to release stress, trapped emotions, and unresolved trauma—guiding them back to themselves through Kundalini Yoga, EFT Tapping, and sound healing.
I was happy, living my life, fulfilled in my work— then about a year ago, another gift appeared. A fellow teacher said, “I think you’d be a powerful somatic breathwork facilitator.” It wasn’t on my radar. In fact, I had resistance to breathwork—it felt too intense, too uncomfortable. But he offered me the last spot in his training, and for some reason, I said yes.
That yes changed everything. As I dove into the training—learning about nervous system regulation and emotional release through the body—I experienced what my teacher called the Picasso effect: all my life’s work, study, and experience came together. Breathwork reconnected me to my theater roots: raw presence, emotional honesty, and deep embodiment.
Since then, everything has aligned. That unexpected yes became one of the most important decisions of my career.
The lesson?
When life hands you a gift—say yes.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m a somatic healing coach. I weave between the modalities of somatic breathwork, EFT tapping, kundalini yoga and sound. My work is rooted in the emotional and spiritual realm—supporting people to release trauma, chronic stress, and limiting beliefs so they can reconnect with themselves and live with more clarity & confidence.
My journey first began in the world of acting – this gave me an intimate understanding of the human experience and the depths of the emotional expression. Naturally, this led me into the healing arts. After spending years on my own path of deep healing and self-discovery, I began guiding others through their own transformations—using somatic practices, nervous system work, and spiritual tools. For the past 7 years, I’ve supported clients in releasing trauma, stress, and emotional blocks, helping them come home to themselves in a lasting, embodied way.
Today, I offer 1-1 sessions, group classes, and private retreats that weave together Somatic Breathwork, EFT Tapping, Kundalini Yoga, and Sound Healing. I also share guided healing journeys on Insight Timer and offer mentorships and creative coaching for those ready to dive deeper into their purpose, passion, and spiritual evolution.
What sets my work apart is how fast and deep it goes. I’m not interested in having “forever clients.” I believe healing should empower you to move forward—not keep you dependent on a practitioner. We dive in, do the work, and create real, lasting change—so you can get back to fully living your life. That’s what I find most fulfilling: witnessing people return to their power and remember who they really are.
If you’re drawn to this work, know that healing can be sacred, gentle, and wildly liberating. You don’t need to be fixed—you just need a safe space to reconnect with what’s already within you.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I think what’s helped me build my reputation is showing up consistently—in a real, grounded, human way. When I first started, I was teaching weekly classes at several studios around town. I deeply believe in the power of consistency and repetition—it creates momentum, and it builds that “know, like, and trust” connection over time. When people see you show up with integrity again and again, they begin to feel safe in your presence. And for me, creating safety is an art.
I don’t just hold space—I tend to it. I’m very intentional about the way I guide people through emotional release, somatic healing, and spiritual reconnection. I think people feel that. That safety, that depth, that care. And over time, students began reaching out for deeper work—1:1 sessions, mentorship, and other containers I offer. It’s been a very organic unfolding.
While I try to keep up with social media, the truth is, it often feels overwhelming. It doesn’t always reflect the depth and intimacy I crave in connection. I’ve found that my work spreads most powerfully through word of mouth, and through real-life experiences—when energy meets energy, heart to heart. There’s something sacred that happens in person or 1:1, when someone truly feels your compassionate presence… we heal. That’s what I live for.
At the end of the day, I think my reputation has grown because I’m not trying to perform or perfect—I’m just being real. I care deeply, I hold people gently, and I trust the work to do what it’s meant to do.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
One story that really reflects my resilience is my journey as an actress and singer in Los Angeles. I moved there with a deep passion for storytelling and performance—acting was my first love, and music quickly followed. After countless auditions I eventually started creating my own work: writing, producing, performing, even forming a band. I guess you could say I wore all the hats—actress, singer, writer, show runner, visionary.
I was tired of waiting to be chosen by the industry, so I chose myself. I poured my heart into creating work that felt fun and expressive. And for a while, it was exhilarating. I learned every aspect of the craft—not just the art of performing, but what it means to build something from nothing. That time shaped me in ways I’m still grateful for.
But over time, I burned out. The hustle, the highs and lows, the endless pushing to make something land… it wore me down. And eventually, I realized: what I truly loved about acting and music wasn’t the business, the hustle, or the spotlight—it was the feeling of emotional freedom, of truth, of connection.
That realization was everything. It opened the door to a new path—one rooted in healing rather than performance. I began to explore practices like Kundalini Yoga, EFT, sound healing, and eventually somatic breathwork. I stopped trying to become someone—and started remembering & loving who I already was.
Resilience, for me, wasn’t just about staying in the game. It was about knowing when to step away…. and pivot. It was about honoring my soul when it whispered, “There’s something deeper waiting for you.”
