Finesse, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. How did you get your first job in the field that you practice in today?
Greetings, what led me to the field of my own trauma. As a young woman, dealing with depression, PCOS hirsutism all these things inform how I serve. Once I found the keys to unlock my confidence in those areas, I knew it was my duty to help others.

Finesse, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Finesse Hunter. My business is LaDawn Electrolysis, Esthiology and wellness. I provide electrolysis hair removal service as well as aesthetic skin care services related to electrolysis so, hyper pigmentation is one of my main focuses. In addition to these things, I am also a yoga instructor in which I’ve been teaching for over 10 years and I also teach pre-and post natal yoga. Wellness and treating the whole person from a trauma informed perspective from skin care to mental health is my niche. I want people to know that I’m a survivor and those that suffer from PCOS, PMDD ,hirsutism, depression, and anxiety you are not alone, and it’s one of the biggest reasons I started this business. I’m also finishing my education in mental health to offer therapy . It’s a Dawn of a new day at LaDawn Electrolysis, Esthiology and Wellness.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
When you are learning to walk on your purpose, you have to learn when to jump. My job came from working at General Motors since the age of 22 to becoming my own boss and running a wellness business. It’s scary it’s beautiful and it’s worth it. I always knew what I wanted to do but what really catapulted the pivot was my back injury. After a car accident I could no longer work at General Motors. I could no longer teach yoga I could barely even walk, having to sit with that pain prompted me to make some really difficult decisions that led to the life that I’m living today and it’s the reason I feel confident enough to help others.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Moving through depression, dealing with hirsutism from the age of 17 and jumping into my purpose after a car accident and back surgery during my first year of motherhood showed me just how resilient I could be. Pause if you must don’t give up.
