Alright, Finess thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
I had my own barbershop. I let it go so I could fully invest in my music. It was a big sacrifice but I was going to let anything hold me back from pursuing my dreams
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My name is Finess Jewelz I’m a recording artist from North Hills Pa. located right outside Philadelphia. I’ve been making music for 10+ years now. I feel in love with music at a early age. Some of my influences were Lil Wayne, Fabulous, J Cole and Tory Lanez. I was on my basketball journey but that got derailed when I started getting in trouble.. I didn’t pick the pen until I was 17/18 when I heard my friends make a song and put it on a cd. I was instantly inspired and I caught the bug. I never stopped since. I’ve been through a lot in my life, locked up 7 times and almost lost my life. I’m not a fan of making excuses or giving up. So no matter what I went through I never stopped writing. Now I’m really starting to reap the benefits of my hard work and not quitting. One of my latest proud moments was my billboard at Times Square, that was a major accomplishment for me.
How did you build your audience on social media?
How I built my audience was locking in and staying consistent and not letting life distract me from my mission. Once I started treating my social media and my brand as a business I started investing more and more and it paid off. Can’t be scared to go all out and invest in yourself
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
My goal is to be a black icon and make Finess Jewelz a house hold name. My mission is to create a better life for me and my family and create opportunities for my people
