We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Fifi The Pink Figaro Owned By Lisa Delane. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Fifi The Pink Figaro below.
Fifi The Pink Figaro, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you tell us the backstory behind how you came up with the idea?
I’ve always had a soft spot for nostalgic design—and for years, the Nissan Figaro was my dream car. Something about it felt like a fairytale on wheels: the curves, the convertible top, the vintage lines with just the right touch of whimsy. But owning one always felt a little out of reach, especially since they were never sold in the U.S. Still, I kept a vision tucked away: a perfectly pink Figaro, restored with care, and brought to life in Southern California.
Since I am from the UK originally, I was always on the lookout for my dream car on my visits home. Then I found her, a 1991 Figaro with good bones and the kind of charm that could still shine with the right attention. I purchased her and immediately partnered with The Figaro Shop, the experts in restoring these rare cars. Together, we transformed her—new soft blush paint, refinished interior, all the tiny details that would turn her into a rolling work of art. I named her Fifi, and suddenly, a dream became a brand.
The idea to turn Fifi into a photo prop and content creator wasn’t just about having a cute car. I realized there was a niche—especially here in Southern California—for something joyful, unique, and deeply photogenic. People are always looking for that extra something for weddings, senior portraits, hotel shoots, and influencer content. Fifi was made for that. She’s a conversation starter, a backdrop, a feeling. I knew if I was this excited to create with her, others would be too.
Now, Fifi lives in Orange County and is available for styled shoots, creative collaborations, and special events. She’s more than just a car—she’s a vintage icon with a personality. And every time I see someone light up when they meet her, I know this was the right idea at the right time.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I come from a background in public relations and marketing, with a focus on luxury brands and lifestyle clients. For years, I helped others craft their stories, build beautiful worlds around their products, and connect with discerning audiences who value quality, aesthetics, and originality. That experience shaped my taste, my attention to detail, and most importantly, my belief in the power of storytelling—especially when it’s personal, joyful, and visually unforgettable.
That’s what led me to create Fifi the Pink Figaro as more than just a personal passion project. As mentioned, I’d always dreamed of owning a Nissan Figaro, and when I finally found the perfect one in the UK, I knew I wanted to do something special. After restoring her with the help of The Figaro Shop and bringing her to Southern California, the vision became clear: Fifi wouldn’t just be a car—she’d be a creative service, a mobile photo prop, and a way to help others make magic.
Fifi the Pink Figaro is more than just adorable—she’s extraordinarily rare. The Nissan Figaro was a limited-edition vehicle originally released exclusively for the Japanese market in 1991, with only 20,000 ever produced. Today, it’s estimated that fewer than 5,000 fully working models remain in the world, and most of them are still in the UK. That rarity makes Fifi not only a showstopper but also a true collector’s item. Her pastel pink makeover only adds to her charm, turning an already unique car into a one-of-a-kind icon—perfect for photo shoots, social content, and anyone who wants to make a statement with something you simply can’t find anywhere else.
Today, Fifi is available for photo shoots, brand content, styled campaigns, influencer collaborations, and special events. She’s ideal for engagements, weddings, senior portraits, events, hotel promotions, boutique brand partnerships, and just about any moment that needs a dose of charm, nostalgia, and standout personality. What sets us apart is that every detail is curated—from her custom blush color to her bespoke interior—and she’s always delivered with the polish and professionalism you’d expect from someone who’s spent their career in the luxury space.
What I’m most proud of is that Fifi makes people smile. She’s a visual joy-bringer. And for clients who want their photos to feel timeless, fun, and completely unique, she offers an experience unlike anything else. I want people to know that this isn’t just a car rental. It’s about creating content, moments, and memories with a brand that understands style, emotion, and storytelling. Fifi may be rare, but the feeling she inspires? That’s something everyone deserves to have in their feed—or their photo album.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
The best source of new clients so far has definitely been social media. We’re in the early stages of building our brand on Instagram and TikTok under the handle @SoCalFigaro, and it’s already opened doors to a wonderful community of vintage car enthusiasts, pink car lovers, brides-to-be, content creators, and event planners. Sharing content, styled shoots, and Fifi’s transformation journey has helped spark interest organically. We’re also starting to attend local events like Cars and Coffee, which not only gets Fifi in front of people in real life but also leads to more tags, shares, and inquiries online. It’s been all about creating moments that people want to capture and share—and Fifi makes that easy.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
Absolutely—at the heart of this entire creative journey is joy. The goal has always been to create something that makes people pause, smile, and feel a little spark of delight. When someone sees Fifi for the first time—whether it’s at an event, during a photo shoot, or just parked curbside—their face lights up. That reaction never gets old. Fifi isn’t just a car; she’s an experience, a mood, a moment of unexpected charm in the everyday.
The mission is to share that joy and nostalgia with others—whether through styled shoots, content collaborations, or just giving someone the dream photo opp they didn’t know they needed. It’s about offering something rare, beautiful, and emotionally resonant in a world that moves fast and often forgets to stop and enjoy the small things.
